At first I thought the Christmas Markets here were very average, but having now spent 3 days here I’ve changed my opinion. What is billed as the main market in Vörösmarty Square is OK - the stalls are selling nice stuff, the food is lovely but it’s not huge. I read there are 100 stalls though. I would say it’s expensive but Christmas Markets always are. I prefer the Christmas Market in front of St Stephen’s Basilica. It’s really pretty and the Basilica has a light show projected on to it in the evening. There are a few other streets with stalls on too. So all in all much better than my first impression!

It may be seen as art by some and as an eyesore by others, but a lot of people stop to admire the statue, and take a picture. It seems to be a meeting place in the March 15 Square neighborhood.

Tucked in at the foot of Elisabeth bridge is this small recently renovated square, seemingly quiet for it location, however the hustle and bustle, is not far away with the touristy vaci street behind the square.

Imposing monument and the focal point of lively Vorosmarty Square. Memorial to the beloved Hungarian poet, Mihaly Vorosmarty who lived from 1800-1855. The memorial is interesting enough but the reason to visit is to experience the vibrancy of Vorosmarty Square that has the feel of being the center of the city.

The massage was perfect strength and so relaxing! Loved it so much and so did my mom! We had nice female masseuses and everything was very pleasant. It wasn’t painful like some of the Thai places.

Fabulous selection of the weird and wonderful. Yes, some items were high in price but these reflected the workmanship. Incredible huge orchids near the cash desk (so huge and perfect that they didn't look real), some x-rated books, lovely cards, scented candles and diffusers. The low lighting and over-stocked shelving gives the shop a wonderful atmosphere. Lovely staff.

If you are visiting Budapest, the ice bar is located on the main pedestrian street Vaci. The entrance fee is €13 including one drink.
I barely lasted 15 minutes inside, because the temperature was -5, while outside it was 30 degrees at night. The bar is very small and narrow and the glasses they serve in are not made of ice. There were about 10 of us inside and it was cramped.

When I stepped first time into the shop 2 y ago, the magic of the atmosphere spelled me in a moment. I met there with high level of creativity, beautiful shapes, and colors, really surprising materials, and a very complaisant, kind young woman at the desk. I really liked the jewelry and the ceramic pots, but I was also amazed by the things made from bicycle gum, fork or zipper. I found also very interesting clothes. Also, hats made from handmade felt. So many beautiful shades! And the funny earrings! Some seem like bakelite disc, another one is a die! And the cute felt figures! Anytime I am going to Budapest, I always make time to visit this jewelry box.

The fitness center is in a very good area, in the middle of the city. The gym is not huge, the staff is very friendly. If you are looking for a very good personal trainer who speaks English and Spanish, you should go there and look for Migue Serra. His sessions are just perfect: hard but funny, with visible results :), diverse, incomparable, not boring at all...

Great shop. The shop owner Bálint, he takes the time to explain every single detail of every item that he sells and is always available for questions from the clients.
In the shop you travel in time, with real items from Hungarian folklore and art but as well historian items from communist times, soviet union and any country you could imagine.
I order as well from home, and all items were delivered in a quick and safe way to my home.
I would definitely recommend to visit this shop, is definitely a hidden pearl in Budapest.
