Definitely reminded me of strolling the avenues of Paris…beautiful old trees, magnificent homes and buildings and wide streets with views from one end to the other. We walked from the Opera House to Heroes’ Square, which is probably about a mile, but there was no rush and the day was lovely. Great way to see the city and the views/surrounds are terrific.

This is a small museum dedicated to Franz Liszt. The museum contains some of his works and his piano and is where he once lived.
If you like classical music it's worth going to, but if you aren't that interested you may find it less so.

The easiest to use metro i have experienced!
Only 4 lines 3 of which cross at only 1 station.
72hr travel card for metro and trams is a bargain.
Very clean and always felt safe
Be advised that tickets may not be checked or scanned when you get onto metro but it will be we you get off! Inspectors also board trams and fines are issued if you don't have a ticket.

Located out the front of the “Terror House”, is this very poignant sculpture, depicting the repression of the states behind the iron curtain.

We came in and they showed us a rather long movie about Kodaly. If you are a musician or a musicologist it will be very interesting. Then the lady took us around the apartment. Her English was excellent. We learned a lot about this important educator and composer. His office was magnificent, with a wonderful folk style desk. The place has great atmosphere. Definitely worth your time if you want to dig deeper into Hungarian culture.

This is one of four statues that surround, Kodaly Korond, (a beautifully landscaped, circus). This bronze statue is of a great Hungarian general, known as blind Bottyan, as he lost an eye in a battle against the Ottomans.

    I love dancing!
I am learning to dance in the third dance school in Budapest and only Andrea and Endre are able to help us in English during non English class. They are enthusiastic and inspiring teachers! Every time we have fun :)!

We are in Budapest for 4 days, and we used lopifit to explore the main sights of the city. The guided tour started at the evening, at 3pm. It took around 4 hours to get back to the starting point, which is on one of the main avenue of Budapest.
There is also a restaurant/pub in the building so we could eat after the tour.

Andrew lead a fantastic, informative, fun and vibrant tour of beautiful Budapest. He was so enthusiastic, full of knowledge and 2 hours flew by, even in the cold! We left feeling like we had such a better understanding of the city, the country, its history, and how it came to be as it is today.

    Thank you Andrew!

We had a great time with Mark and his stylist team in Budapest. Fond the best shopping places, even hidden treasures in the vintage area, and could hunt down all the nice pieces we would have never found for soooo cheap. Great 3 hours trip, that showed the real shopping face wit a native Hungarian in Budapest centre.
