We had unicum for the first time two days ago and loved it so naturally had to go to the distillery. The family has a really cool history and I’m glad I learned about them. They seem like good people. The tour was really fun too. Down in the cellars you get tastings of all their products straight from the barrels where they’re being aged! And then you get 5% off their products.

The palace floor and reading rooms are amazing. If you are a reader I recommend bringing your book and taking time to just read in one of the armchairs in the reading room. Single visit tourist tickets available at the front desk.

Was a bit tough to find the correct door to actually get in but once you do…id recommend you have cash to pay the admission . when i was there the computer was down. my ticket was a post it note and thankfully i had enough cash .

Once you get through all that you open the door to a spectacular room. The main reading room is huge. The detail and workmanship that went into this is obvious.

If you are a fan of interesting buildings, architecture, old books and really big ladders you should stop by.

Tripadvisor said it opens at 9am…. I got there at 945 and it didn't open till 10am so check

The Budapest Congress Center - in its own a huge building dating back a few decades built with a purpose - to host congresses and such events, as the name of the venue is already telling - situated on Jagello road , not very central but still very accessible.
The reason I've been there last autumn was an unusual event - "An evening with Bruce Dickinson" - the frontman singer of Iron Maiden was touring europe with his latest autobiography, the book titled "What does this button do". (for metalheads the name Bruce Dickinson is an institution, for the others well, most of you probably know who he is). For me the event was a must do!
In terms of the venue - since this is the topic at hand - it is definitely suiting the purpose it was built for. Excellent seating capacity - the seats somehow uncomfortable but arranged very well so you can see the stage in front even if you are a shorter person and you don't got a front row seat. The sound system is very good and the screen where the presentation was displayed is very big, so you have unencumbered view. A wardrobe was in service so coat and bags can be stored until the event is in progress. Restrooms are enough and very clean and there is at least a small bar open to get some refreshment during breaks - or even during the event.
Entering was very fast - well trained people handling admission - exit the same, no queues regardless the fact that the crowd was big.
A great experience with nothing to complain really complain - not the perfect score because of the uncomfortable seats - so if you want to attend an event here, it is a very good venue.

A good starting place to get all the information you need to explore Budapest, very helpful and knowledgeable staff. It made our visit to Budapest very easy.

Went to the main tourist info point at Sütő u. 2, near Deák Ferenc tér, looking for info on boat tours on the Danube. Guy behind the counter was obviously very very bored of answering the same questions over and over (so why on Earth is he working in a tourist info centre?) His info was accurate, but his answers were singsong and his manner was verging on contemptuous. Interesting that another review from 4 years ago makes the same complaint - there seems to be something wrong with their attitude to tourists

Amazing ceramic collection which is worth seeing. Slightly weird that the museum has a gun carrying security guard. Can't see why that is necessary.

We came for lunch and to relax before a flight. It was welcoming and clean. Food was good and adequate, but limited. Drinks were mainly local but OK. Hot drinks fine. Overall, we were happy. We have had much worse and few better.

Lovely lounge with plenty of seating in a clean, relaxed environment.

We checked into an almost empty lounge. There are various seating areas from a large room with tables to another area with armchairs. Very clean lounge!

For breakfast, the only hot food was the pancakes, which were fun to try and pretty tasty, with hazelnut chocolate or strawberry jam. But there were plenty of other continental (cold food) options encompassing regular items (yogurt, oatmeal, etc.) as well as items accommodating dietary restrictions (e.g., vegan yogurt, chia seeds, etc.). There also is a fridge with self-serve beverages including alcohol (champagne and wine).

There weren’t many areas to charge phones / computers but the lounge did feature its own bathrooms.

It is decent enough. Places to plug in and charge, comfortable seating, and a clear view of flight updates. Food is alright, edible but not tasty. Staff was friendly, there are windows and natural light, and it was clean. I’ve been to better and I’ve been to worse.
