What travelers are saying
- OZS_ATWBudapest, Hungary2,766 contributionsWe attended the Ice Kingdom show, a performance by the Ukrainian State Circus in late January 2023. It was awesome, we enjoyed it very much.Written January 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MariahcatCoatesville, PA205 contributionsOur ticket included pick up and drop off at our hotel. The Duna Paolota was a nice small theater so everyone could see and hear the whole show. There was a group of musicians, mostly violins, playing and, at times, Hungarian dancers in authentic costumes danced on stage. Was a fun evening. They also take your picture which you can purchase if you choose, not pushy.Written November 1, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ProgenitorCentral Hungary, Hungary514 contributionsIf you have a chance to see them - DO. Not only do they play superbly, but they often do things other orchestras don't; e.g., singing as a choir. Their staging of operas and ballets with the stage running through and over the orchestra are very special.Written September 18, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - OZS_ATWBudapest, Hungary2,766 contributionsHungarian Heritage House, also known as Budai Vigado is a beautiful building on the Buda side close to the Chain Bridge.
There is also a tiny small square in front of it.Written March 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Linda D12 contributionsRemek hely, kitűnÅ‘ csapat, jó koncertek és bulik, kedvezÅ‘ árak! Az ott dolgozók mindig mosolyognak, kacagnak és biztosÃtják a hangulatot. Érezni a szeretetet.
Bármelyik zenekarommal járunk ott koncertet adni, mindig egyforma bánást kapunk, és jókat röhögünk! Ha Budapesten jársz, és egy jót akarsz bulizni, keresd fel a helyet, megéri!
Great place, wonderful team, super concerts and parties, affordable prices! The staff is always smiling, laughing and having a good time. You can feel the love. I have played there on several occassions with three of my bands, and they all get equal attention and love, and we always have a great laugh! If you are in Budapest and looking for a good time: Backstage Pub is a MUST!Written October 31, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The building has other functions, too but they have theatre plays, dance show, concerts as well. Easily accessible after the Margit -bridge on the Pest side of the city. The show was really great and the team 'Experidance' has quite a few shows on the menu. very interesting dance mix, with different dresses of different historical ages, the dancers are professional, the music is great. There is a restaurant in the building to have dinner before or after the show, and an environmentally friendly playground for children. The seats are not the best, but I had worse experience in my life, so about medium. However the auditorium is not sloped enough to have a good view to the stage, only from the balcony- but there are just few seats and quickly reserved. Toilet is not too big by the way, so if you are a lady, be prepared for a queue if visiting a popular show. Otherwise I can recommend to watch a dance show/play/concert.Written January 21, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sandor_H_33Budapest, Hungary225 contributionsA small theatre at the back room of the restaurant. Intimate space though would be better without the high stage. The shows are usually with 1-3 actors, typical "off- Broadway" events.Written March 1, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sza_beeTimisoara, Romania347 contributionsfirst-time visitors of this place should know that their expectations will be definitely different than reality.
the theatre is basically in a basement of a huge building. Cannot call it a basement but from level point of view it is.
It was my first theatre visit in BUdapest and i found that even the not existing seats are sold. Full house.
The arrangement of the place is to fit a few hundred of people inside.
Some of the seats have limited visibility to the scene, pay attention to this when buying your ticket.
Prices are average for the local range.Written November 9, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
