What travelers are saying
- bailey1560colorado120 contributionsWe were a small group, some vegetarian, some not. The leader easily accommodated each preference. We were led in the recipes, but each of our skill level was respected. We were given guidance, but not instruction which suited us very well. Beverages were offered, including palinka and wine after we used the knives. The food we created was so good!!! I have all the recipes and will be making chicken paprikash for friends and family.Written February 2, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - trooper198Lincoln, NE813 contributionsWe we booked this tour online prior to our trip to Budapest. We met our guide and now friend Kata at the designated spot. Kata showed us around the Grand Central market and we were able to taste numerous samplings of traditional Hungarian food types. We then were transported to their kitchen where we were offered a beginning drink of schnapps. Kata had the table set with the items that we needed to prepare for our cooking class. We started by preparing root vegetables to make a broth for the soup. We then prepared the chicken prior to it going into the skillets to make Hungarian paprika chicken. We then made the dumplings and while the paprika chicken was cooking we then prepared a traditional Hungarian poppy seed bread pudding.this was the first time we had taken a cooking class while traveling and it is something that we will have to do for every trip in the future. I cannot give this class enough stars we had so much fun.Written December 21, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Veronika Z6 contributionsWe spent a lovely evening at the Tasting Table with a great sommelier Niki (not sure how to spell the name) and her colleagues. The sommelier was a nice and easy going professional, which formed a friendly and warm atmosphere among a random international group of visitors. We were provided 5 samples of wine and some samples of local charcuterie, pickles and tasty bread. All that we are and drunk was extremely tasty.Written December 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- bexCharlotte, NC6 contributionsMy friend and I thoroughly enjoyed Kata’s foodie tour. Her passion for food was obvious and we loved her stories about cooking with and for her familyWritten January 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shenhar GModiin, Israel354 contributionsIt’s a really great experience. We learned a lot and enjoyed it a lot. Go for it. We cooked and then had great lunch. - ensco3Toronto, Canada195 contributionsThis is a first rate experience. The reason to do it here is the price/value.
At the Delta Flight Center in Atlanta, an almost identical 737 simulator flight costs US$425 for an hour (for up to four people).
Here a solo 30 minute flight is $35. You cannot beat this.Written May 7, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Giedr1 contributionI love dancing!
I am learning to dance in the third dance school in Budapest and only Andrea and Endre are able to help us in English during non English class. They are enthusiastic and inspiring teachers! Every time we have fun :)!Written February 23, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jody RAl-Rayyan, Qatar273 contributionsWe met Andrew outside the market at 9:00. He took us on a tour including and we had local local eats for breakfast . We tried 6-7 different dishes and items from the Vendors. Then, I t was then a short cab to the apartment. There we cooked bean soup, chicken paprikash, spaetzle and custard with floating islands. We chose to do more hands on and Andrew allow us to do much prep for the meal. Cooking was about 3 hours total then the meal. The food was delicious. We also sampled Hungarian wine and Pálinka. Everything was perfect, a short ride on the metro got us back to the hotel about 3:30. We would definitely do this again and recommend to a friend.Written December 19, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
