The gift shop has a large selection of chocolates and marzipans. We purchased two champagne glasses and realized there was a flaw in one of them when we returned home with it. The owner of Varga Crystal was surprised that the glass had not been discovered in the quality control process and was very concerned. He promptly replaced the glass and had it shipped to us in Canada without any issue.

My wife happened to read about Elfenbein. I am glad she did. Nestled amongst the many historical buildings and world heritage sites, Elfenbein makes goose down comforters and bedding accessories. It is easy to miss unless you seek it out because Elfenbein is a small family run business. If you want the ultimate in comfort, quality and beauty for your bedding, you should seek it out. These master artisans create beautiful products with uncompromising dedication. The proprietor discussed our needs with us and helped us select the best products for us. Shipping is also a service provided. I now have the most comfortable sleep I have ever enjoyed - totally satisfied with the quality of our down comforter and accessories. The service was excellent too, the staff was very friendly and spoke perfect English. I could have stayed for ages! Here you can also buy fresh bakery products, fruits & vegetables, and quality fresh meat. The restaurant offers good dishes with authentic taste. I always try to find gifts and souvenirs that are authentic and represent the culture and art forms that are particular to each place I visit. This store definitely is a haven for unique and well crafted folk art. My mother (who is Serbian and knows quite a bit about hand done vs. machine made textiles) was also appreciative of the quality of the merchandise. The woman who I believe owns the shop was helpful and answered our questions but didn’t make us feel pressured or obligated to purchase anything. She was knowledgeable and proud to showcase the art and craftsmanship of her country.
