What travelers are saying
- adamt_CdnGatineau, Canada39 contributionsI grab a pulled pork burger at one of the upper deck food venders and was pleasantly surprised at the generous size and taste of it. Great prices compared to a regular restaurant. Fast food done to a high-standard.Written November 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mohi41270 contributionsThis is a clean cut gallery spread over three floors. It takes anything from an hour to two hours max to view it all depending on now much time one gets to spend appreciating the featured works of art. It shows some of Hungary’s most important artists with a lot of Hungarian Impressionism, landscapes of village life in poverty stricken Hungary during the past centuries and portraits. A small quantity of contemporary art is seen on the third floor in a single section otherwise all works are mostly between 1830-1940.Written October 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SOPHIEEngland, UK40 contributionsOne of my favourite things to do when we visited Budapest. Happened to stumble across it when walking back towards our hotel. Cheap entrance. Friendly staff. Spent max of an hour here. Quite a small museum but the details of the sculptures are amazing and you can tell how much time and effort has gone into the sculptures. The background music resembled the movies which the sculptures were in. You even got the opportunity to purchase a trash metal sculpture to take back home. Definitely recommend.Written December 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ray WAberdeen, UK197 contributionsA place to waste a few hours if its raining!
Shops, restaurants even tattoo parlours.
This centre has everything under one roof.

- patraveller2007Philadelphia, PA1,181 contributionsLehel Market is 3 stops on the M-3 from central Budapest. Unlike the Central Market, this market is mainly used by locals. Almost none of the merchants speak a language other vthan their own. Prices are much lower than in the center of Budapest. Lots of bakeries, butchers and produce vendors. Truly gives you the flavor of the local culture.Written August 15, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Molly TMunich, Germany7 contributionsWe went in December, so this market felt full with lots of potential presents from many independent designers/sellers. A few stalls were similar, but lots of variety still :)Written December 13, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Exidia9 contributionsA treasure of a shop, quirky and original, helpful without any pressure to buy.
We were attracted by the wooden toys in the window, suitable for very young children, possibly recently walking. We are grandparents and were reminded of the good quality toys from our own childhoods in the early 1960's. There were pull-along animals with attached strings - we bought a dragon, and push along versions with wooden handles.
Also a nice selection of leather belts, and various ceramics with many different designs. The articles are made by local craftspeople, and are NOT Far Eastern "tourist tat".
I had the impression that the stock changes regularly.Written September 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
