What travelers are saying
- Sarah KEdmonton, Canada1,322 contributionsThis building is a must see in Budapest. Both in the day and at night. If you want a tour inside you must reserve well in advance or go there in person at 8am to try to get same-day tickets. We went around 2pm and all tickets were sold out for days. Also there's 2 free underground museums in front - one about Hungarian revolution and one about the Hungarian crown. Great options.Written September 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- FrankieNew Milton, UK31 contributionsBeautiful architecture and views. Lots of maintenance work and some kind of event going on as police had sectioned off areas as well as the building areas sectioned off.Written September 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sarah KEdmonton, Canada1,322 contributionsThe monument itself is touching, but the explanation from our Walkative guide was very helpful. When Budapest was surrounded by the Soviets, the Germans couldn't send the Jews to concentration camps so instead they took them to the edge of the Danube and just shot them to death there. Awful.Written September 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sarah KEdmonton, Canada1,322 contributionsWe chose the Basilica and the tower tour. Both are very pretty and we don't have any concerns. Note that the lift doesn't take you to the top view, there's still stairs you must do.Written September 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
