I reached out to Jakov regarding a daytrip to Bled and Ljubljana from Zagreb and he quoted a fair rate. Prior to the day of the tour, he gave me updates on the travel regulations relevant to the trip. The tour itself is enjoyable and informative and that is mainly because of the energy brought by Jakov. Engaging and dynamic throughout the drive, he pointed various points of interest along the way. His vast knowledge of the history and other trivial information on Croatia and Slovenia is quite impressive. Lake Bled simply took my breath away and Jakov, as I requested, was able to rent a smaller boat instead of riding the pletna to the islet. He did the rowing himself which is by no means, an easy feat. He then guided me through Castle Bled and capped the visit with tea and a slice of the delicious cake. Proceeding to Ljubljana, he led me to explore the quaint city by foot. All throughout the tour, Jakov was always checking on me if I have questions while constantly feeding me with more information. Also of note, is that Jakov is a skilled driver and has a keen interest in genealogy which he puts to good use by helping his tour guests to reconnect with their family members or distant relatives in Croatia.
