This large park was once the site of a German citadel (hence its name) during the 18th century partition of Poland. You can still see the citadel's walls. It also contains a Polish military cemetery. June 1956 matters to Poznan and you will find its victims honoured here. Most striking is the weird but wonderful headless bronze statues installation in the centre of the Park - it's worth going for that alone!

Super place and such good value. Easy to navigate around the place. Signs on every species of plant there… I am
Irish so they did not have them in English but I used the Google camera and it translated just fine for me .. my fault that I don’t speak Polish in Poland ! Loved it and well worth a visit.

Great man-made lake in the city. Really nice to walk around and the minigolf course is a must. Recommended!

It was worth the tram ride and heat to get here!! Such a beautiful peaceful place, secret places in unexpected places.. yes. It could be mapped better but the aura would be missing! Follow your heart and take your time! Stop at the cafe for a snack and then resume your exploration!!

Very relaxed and beautifull small area ? especially after the Town centre. on the Island but easy to get to by trams or even walking.
A nice number of coffee shops and sights worth seeing. Do you homeowork. Basically the origin and centre of Poland. Do the tour of its origins its cheap enough.

We had a great time watching all of the animals. Unfortunately due to the winter weather some of them were brought inside and we couldn’t see them whatsoever. My only disappointment would have to be the fact that we did not get to see the giraffes and bears since they were inside and there’s no possibility to see their indoor space. Overall it was a fantastic experience and we had a lot of time but since it was January non of the restaurants were open and the train was not running but it wasn’t a problem for us. We had a great walk all around. In my opinion the biggest hit of this zoo is the night animal room. It was really amazing to see all of these different animals get along in one space. You can definitely see that the animals are in good hands and are taked care of very well. Would recommend but maybe it’s better during spring/summer time when the weather is better and all of the animals are outside.

This is a great place to go on a Sunday afternnon when you need to let your kids run around for a while. There are always quite a few other families having the same thought. Entry is free to most of the zoo so you can't really get better value for money.

Great park in Poznan. A beautiful place. Nice park with children's playground and bike paths, a lot of old trees, interestingly designed paths , many benches and of course ponds with ducks and swans that form the basis of this park and occupy its central part. A great place to relax almost in the center of the city. A charming place in Poznan, it is worth going for a walk. I recommend visiting.

Woodrow Wilson Park is a great place for jogging. The perfect location of the park makes it a good place to rest while exploring Poznań on hot summer days.

A small lake in the center of Poznan surrounded by forests. Perfect areas for walking, running, cycling, swimming abd relaxing. A comfortable path runs around the lake, and its numerous branches go in different directions deep into the forest. There are some dining options on the beach, some of them open even in winter. Beautiful lake, scenery and surroundings. One of the few such charming places to relax in Poznan. It is crowded in the season, but the real charm of this place can be discovered off-season.

If you have some free time and a bike, make sure you come to this part of the town to indulge yourself in beautiful scenery. The view from the observation deck is breath taking!

Pleasant, well-kept park where I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on a bench in the shade for half an hour to recuperate after serious summer sightseeing.

It is about 15 km from the center of Poznan to the church in Kiekrz taking the hiking trails around Rusalka and Solacki lakes. The trail is also suitable for cyclists. I walked.

From Rusalka the whole route is well marked (green sign). The trail goes through beautiful nature mainly through forest and along lakesides. Only the very last bit near Kiekrz the trail becomes uncomfortable: loose sand, no shade, construction work going on. I saw some cyclists getting stuck, but overall it is doable also by bike. From the church in Kiekrz there is a dirt road to Kiekrz lake. Cars using it cause a lot of dust, but the distance is rather short (less than 10 minutes on foot).

From Kiekrz kosciol (church) there are frequent buses to Ogrody tram station in Poznan. Make sure you have a public transportation access card as many of these buses do not accept cash.
