The xmas market was in the old town square not a very big market but the usual things on offer, the other market and fair ground was in the Freedom square.
Plenty of restaurants and bars in the old town great if you dont want to walk far all open late.
Ice sculpting was going on whilst we were there 8th Dec.

The perfect rainy day activity! Really good tour guides, who were really funny and made the session interesting and informative. They also spoke amazing English.
Would recommend to anyone visiting Poznan. Also great value for money at only £7!

Due to multiple destruction and rebuilding in the history, the Cathedral demonstrates a mixture of architectural styles.

The facade of the church is the majestic Gothic twin towers, while the back- southeast side retains the older Romanik style buildings.

The interior decoration is mainly Baroque, but the chapels have various decorations including some with Byzantine style.

Really appreciate and like this particular church.

Absolutely stunning spot, WELL WORTH A VISIT...SO many paths to explore...The variety is amazing....Give yourself a few hours as so much to do.Sit on one of the many seats and admire the plants. THE ALPINE AREA, is just magnificent , so many quirky paths in that area..We got a taxi / Uber there as out of main tourist area, so cheap on Uber, saved our energy to walk in the park

Ostrow Tumski (or Cathedral Island) was more than just the site for the Poznan Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul. It was also interesting to just explore the oldest part of Poznan, roam the village streets and view the various religious buildings. Worth a short stroll but visiting the Poznan Cathedral should be primary focus.

I really enjoyed viewing the architecture in Poznan ,walking onto Plac Wolnosci there are several really beautiful buildings to view ,one that caught my eye was National Museum Of Poznan Building.
Home to great art exhibitions ,this building was constructed in 1904 from plans from architect Carl Hinckeldyen ,a wonderful example of Neo - Classical style architecture ,it's a building that's very photogenic and adds to the joy of walking around this area of the city ,it's easy to locate just off Plac Wolnosci along Marcinkowskiego and well worth checking out if you're an art lover or enjoy great architecture .

The original town hall was constructed in 1253 and served the city till the 1500's when between 1550-1560 this present building was constructed by renowned Italian architect Giovanni Battista Di Quadro who specialised in the Neo Renaissance style of architecture so pleasing on the eye ,atop this famous building on the clock tower of two fighting goats that every day at noon come out and strut their stuff ,it's a cool feature of this great looking building and easy to locate on Stary Rynek.

I really enjoyed the tour involved here. The tour guide shared some fantastic information about the club, and the stadium is much bigger than I expected. We left Lech Poznan fans.

Although at the moment large swathes of Poznan is a bit of a building site with so much renovation going on but the beauty of the buildings still shines through ,one building that really caught my eye was Adam Mickiewicz University Building.
Constructed between 1905-1910 ,it's a wonderful example of Neo Classical architecture that's so pleasing on the eye ,such a photogenic building ,if you're walking along Ulica Henryka Wieniawskigo Polands third largest university is most definitely well worth checking out.
