And access via walking bridges quite easy especially from Opera area. Grassed area has events ie beer sausages pizza tents frequently. Now it looks really nice and reflects the atmosphere of the city. I was surprised. There's still some renovation to do, but it's really good. Which did not change my opinion about the quality of the beautiful sculptures that constitute this fountain. - martin aWare, UK21 contributionsBydgoszcz it's a great city to visit. I much preferred it to Gdansk and Torun, although they are quite an easy journey from here. Bydgoszcz feels like a real living place, whereas the other two cities felt like film sets and tourist haunts. It's a lovely place to walk around and the setting with the river running through it is beautiful. It's got a great set of restaurants for lunch or evening meals, and it's very lively in the evenings. It's a place where lots of people seem to have fun. The architecture is lovely too, and it's all very walkable. I'd happily come back whereas I'll never go to Gdansk or Torun again. I came in early September when it was very warm. I have no idea what it would be like in colder weather. I got a place to stay right in the centre, and it was a great location. - podrozniczka60New Jersey16,814 contributionsWe love this place any time of the year. Arguably Myślęcinek is at its very best in summer as many events take place here, but it is lovely and relaxing year round.
It is easy to get here by tram, buses, taxi and your own vehicles. The area of Bydgoszcz Forest Park in Myślęcinek is huge and there are convenient parkings in many locations.
Myślęcinek has many attractions including lovely Botanical Gardens and a ZOO. There are places to fish and horseback ride. Best restaurants are on the outskirts in the direction of Niemcz, close to the parking for the Botanical Gardens.
What we like the most in Myślęcinek is the network of hiking, walking and biking trails.
It is also a birdwatching location.
Do not miss the area of the ponds with rolling hills surrounding them.

A bit more intellectual entertainment, a bit more puzzles - you can forget about the whole world, especially when you run out of time to leave the room.
