This is yet another branch of local museum, called Muzeum Okręgowe - Wyspa Młyńska (Mill Island) is full of them. This one concentrates on modern art - not being the biggest fan of modern art I was keen to pass by this one, but then - why not give it a shot, who knowes when we'll get a chance to go back to Bydgoszcz. Large building, which I was more interested in, than the display itself, as it is one of former granaries, called Red Granary. Must have undergone a refurbishement quite recently, as looks new and sparkling, with flashy new glassed bit. Exhibition itself not the biggest I saw, but it takes some time to get around it, Some nice instalaltions. It was pretty much empty on that saturday midday time, so we had that al for ourselfs. Worth popping in.

The bottom floor is an auction house with artwork from the 19th century. Upstairs is a sculpture exhibition featuring Polish sculptor Stanislaw Horno-Poplawski. There's also a fantastic VR which was worth seeing. The staff were friendly and helpful. Recommend.

This is one of my most favorite galleries in Bydgoszcz. It is also known under the name BWA ( the Office of Art Exhibits). There is always something of interest going on here. It is a very nice two story gallery located near the Casimir the Great Park and the famous Deludge Fountain. This time they had the fantastic exhibit of Zdzisław Beksiński who was a Polish painter, photographer and sculptor, specializing in the field of dystopian surrealism.
One suggestion - they should expand their gift shop. The place could also use a small cafe downstairs. On the other hand I have to admit that the Gallery is surrounded by numerous great cafes and restaurants and that is probably why they concentrate on what they are doing the best which is ART.
