This is a fantastic sports centre. 1st class facilities and not expensive. The pool area has something for people of all ages. The first time we went, we had the grandchildren with us (2 and 10) and they both loved it... the only problem we had was trying to persuade them to leave at the end!
Kids will love the water slides. there is a tiny one in the toddlers pool, a wide one suitable for kids ~4 and up, and there are two bigger slides suitable for 10's and up.....and, not to forget, the two external slides which would be suitable for older teens, or brave adults

Located on a hill overlooking parts of the city sits this big, mostly glass, pavilion (the Palminaria) which combines the tropics with the culinary. When inside stairs or an elevator bring you up to the next 2 levels. Each level displays various types palm trees, while a walkway gives you a feeling of walking through a palm forest. Birds are tweeting (a tape, no real birds) to give it that extra cachet. Looking down you have the feeling of looking at the bottom of some tropical forest. That notion disappears when you notice tables and chairs and people sitting on them behind plates with food. The building doubles as a restaurant. On the ground floor are fish ponds with various types of fish and reptiles. Very creatively done. Outside is a vineyard. It so happend we visited during the Wine Festival, supposedly the largest one in Poland. The pavilion is within easy walking distance of the old city. All in all it's a very pleasant place to visit.

Very nice shopping centre. However BEWARE the map is wrong, where it shows Focus Park is actually a Lidl. Best go to Google maps direct and look for Focus Park, its a out a kilometer away from where ots shown pn the trip advisor map.

Love this garden,a lot of flowers, trees, birds, squirrels. The best place for me :) I really love how, depending on the season, you can see there different plants in blossom. In autumn there is a huge festival of pumpkins. In spring - festival of rododendrons' blossom. Just go there and you will see:) There is a modest entrance fee - 5 zl I suppose.

Beautiful old churches and many cafes and restaurants. Interesting architecture. The Lubuska Land Museum is worth a visit - a local history museum as well as a dungeon featuring old devices of torture. There is not much English spoken here so brush up on your Polish. A lovely place for an afternoon wander.

An interesting museum showing the history of Zielona Góra and the region, interactive exhibitions for children and in the basement one of the most interesting exhibitions on medieval torture.

We came here to the Retro cafe and I spotted this monument by the train station. It reminded me that thousands were transported from here to death and servitude in Siberia. The monument is in polish and I had it translated on trip advisor using Google translate.

About 10 feet up the side of this old tower hangs a small bronze statue of Bacchus as he's precariously hanging from the side of the tower with a wine mug in his hand. He looks like a happy camper with not a worry on his mind. As a matter of fact you'll find Bacchus statues all over the city. Ziela Gora's Wine Festival happens to be the largest in Poland.
The tower is a bit tucked away and not all that easy to find and you'll easily walk by it without noticing.
