If you love Polish pottery, Andy's is the best place to go. Its actually outside of Boleslawiec where the other pottery factories are, but only a few minutes and well worth the trip. Andy's colors are more vibrant than the other factories' and they have many more patterns to chose from. Their store is HUGE. I had booked by trip to the stores in Boleslawiec and paid extra to go to Andy's and it was worth the extra cost.

Bought quite a bit of a traditional pattern, successfully mailed all pieces back with no breakage. It feels very substantial and goes through the dishwasher like a dream. Didn't know that it can be now purchased at Amazon or Target online, but the factory pricing is still the best. I'm replacing my Franciscan Desert Rose and am happy with the quality, although cutlery marks are noticable on the dark blue center pattern. This going to be an issue with most of the patterns. That's fine for a display piece, but for everyday use I'm disappointed but also should have known better, I don't think it's reasonable to expect no marks. I tried removing with baking soda but no luck.

Fantastic reconstruction of old historical building in down two of Boleslawiec. Good offer of SPA, swimming pool with thermal water, massage, sauna... Great place to rest in the evening.

Parish church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Nicholas was built on the place where in the thirteenth century stood the wooden church of St. Dorothy. Then around 1261 a Gothic church was built, destroyed during the Hussite wars in 1429. Church is located just near beautiful Old Market Square.

The equally short companion to the ceramic museum. Unlike it's counterpart, this features no information in English, with all the information provided in German and Polish at the entrance of rooms. A highlight of it is the presentation of pottery contest winners. Only worth visiting because it's included with the ticket to the ceramic museum.

We did the pottery workshop which includes painting one piece of pottery and a tour through the building. For us it was an amazing experience where we had fun for 4-5 hours. You learn a lot but the fact that you can paint and then get the piece later on was the biggest reason why we were there. They even let us paint another one. If you ever want to see how pottery is made you should definitely check it out!
