We pre-booked this tour before we left home as it was one of the places we most wanted to see in Poland. We were picked up on time at our hotel. After round an hour, our excellent courier, Max, gave us a comfort stop at a small service station. From there we made our way to Chocholow to se wooden houses built without nails and Max explained how they were built. It was very interesting. Our next stop was at a Highlander's house to taste local cheese and sample Polish Vodka. From there we made our way to the ski jump at Zakopane. Unfortunately when we arrived it was misty, but the mist cleared so we could see the top of the jump. Now when we see it on the T V at home we can say that we have actually been there. Max gave us a run down on it while we were watching.
From there we were taken to a wooden chapel in the woods used by the Highlanders. It was very interesting to see the inside. We then went on to Zakopane and Gubalowka hill where we took a funicular to the top. This was included in the tour. It was fascinating to see the clouds clear the top of the mountains as we reached the top. We had a walk round the top and then had some light refreshments- waffles which were excellent. We returned back to Zakopane by the funicular and started our walk around the town where there were plenty of souvenir shops and stalls selling local produce. During our walkabout the sun finally came out and showed Zakopane in a completely different light from being dull in the rain. The trip back to Krakow (around 2 hours) was uneventful, but it gave us time to see the lovely scenery. We got dropped off at tour hotel. It was a most interesting day our, especially with Max as the courier an his excellent driver. We were very impressed with it all.

Having the transfer to the Salt Mines just enhanced the whole Salt Mines experience hugely. Marek was absolutely lovely and gave us so much additional info regarding things to do in Krakov and recommendations for good eateries and bars. He was charming from the start. Recommendations were spot on too. We wouldn't hesitate to rebook what was a truly first-class service.

This was an absolutely FANTASTIC tour - we went for the 'extra' tour so also saw the fascinating Jewish Quarter, Kazimierz, and the Jewish Ghetto. Our driver, Bogdon (Dan) was excellent. He arrived punctually and was very knowledgeable and informative. He also used a backup pre recording to give us more information in between stops and showed us photos on his mobile phone to illustrate further points of interest. I not only recommend this tour and driver but recommend the tour company as well as we took another tour with them to the Wieliczka Salt Mine that was excellent too. Particularly impressive was the fact the company kindly changed the date of our tour from the Friday originally booked, to the Monday, as a result of our Ryan Air flight being delayed by 6 hours and us missing the Friday tour. I thought that was very good of them under the circumstances.

Joanna was a brilliant guide! Her knowledge of all the places we visited was amazing - especially her knowledge of cheese (as someone who is a huge cheese fan I loved this)! It felt so special to be able to go into a Shepherd’s Hut and try local food and drink. The pick-up was seamless and the journeys between all the spots on the day were the perfect amount of time. We particularly loved the gravity slide at Zakopane and the incredible scenery in the background of the thermal springs. Would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the outside of Krakow city in an easy and fun way with lots of local information.

We did the 1.5hr tour with Przemek who was very knowledgable about the town even bringing personal stories into the tour. The tour was well worth the money, what we seen we wouldn’t have seen if we were aimlessly walking around. The legends of Krakow were brilliant too. We did this on the last day so filled in a few hours before we had to sadly leave for the airport. What a lovely experience I’d highly recommend

Thomas contacted us prior to our trip with advice on the best start time, which allowed us to get the most out of the day. He was on time, informative, provided a number of recommendations throughout the day and was overall a great guide. Thank you.

I was picked up at my hotel in time by my lovely driver Artur, Joanna was a brilliant guide, very informative, cheerful, friendly and she spoke English and Spanish extremely well. Maybe she can also speak other languages? I didn’t ask her. Unfortunately I slipped at the thermal pools and hurt my leg and the bus driver to Zakopane, (Janus?), Joanna and Artur were fantastic. They all helped me, Artur called into a shop and got me some ice and walked me into my apartment. I couldn’t fault them. Thank you so much everyone. I would recommend this tour guide company to everyone.

A big shout out to Mateusz from Poland Active Tours who took us out on a full day excursion to the Tatry Mountains at Kasprowy Wierch in Zakopane. The views were breathtaking and the hike was exhilarating. Mateusz took great care of us and showed us the best sights including churches. Cemeteries and best restaurants, taking such pride in the history of Poland, his extensive knowledge ensured we had a very memorable trip. Thoroughly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Krakow.

Booked our tickets direct and travelled by bus from Krakow (No 304 PLZ6 each, each way) which was easy. The tour of the mines was interesting and the mines themselves quite spectacular. Well worth doing.

We’ve been travelling for a while and been walking quite a lot lately. This tour was great to just sit back and relax and enjoy the view and also rest the body at the thermal baths.

Greatly organized, on time and very memorable. Our driver Wiktor was polite and very helpful in teaching us about Zakopane.

The salt mine is very fascinating given its long history. Amazing sculptures everywhere. You also have to admire all constructions made to stabilise the mine, get water out of the mine etc. A true wonder of engineering skill. Some things to think about: This is a mine with a lot of stairs. You descend on staircases a couple of hundred meters, that is a lot of steps to walk down. But they will carry you back to the surface in the miners lift. If you are a part of a large group it can be difficult to hear the guide. The acoustics are not very good in the large rooms.
