We did not have a ticket but were lucky when we saw a tour guide called Ewa. We bought a ticket from her and could pass by the queue. Her explanations were on the right level and she was telling interesting details.
We can highly recommend to take a guided tour with Eva.
The museum is definitely worth to be visited.

No words to even describe this experience. It was the most fun I have had in ages, 115% the highlight of my Krakow trip.

We booked the ‘Green’ package, which was the right choice for us, and the two members of staff that was working ( 16th May ) were absolutely brilliant, they was so talkative, they was lovely.

The experience itself was absolutely terrifying. It was so fun, I loved it, my friend was terrified, which was hilarious. The touching made the experience even better, the actors were fantastic, I did accidentally get tasered but that was my own fault and made me even more scared, just left me thinking how much worst the ‘Amber’ or ‘Red’ one is like I will definitely not be doing them! 🤣👏🏽

Honestly this is a MUST GO to place if you are big into horror, it is definitely too low priced ( £9.49 in British money. ) With amazing customer service from the staff, brilliant acting from the actors and actually leaving the room feeling absolutely petrified, you cannot ask for nothing more.

Next time we are in Krakow, we will definitely be returning!

The tour of the stained glass workshop was short (45 min +) but super interesting! Our guide, Magdelena, was a very knowledgeable and engaging speaker. Have you ever wondered how the gorgeous stained glass windows in the cathedrals are crafted? She will show and tell you how. And even for experienced glass workers, she also shows how pictures are “painted” on to the glass. Take the tour…they have a coffee shop as well while you wait for the tour to start.

What an absolutely INCREDIBLE museum!!! Give yourself at least 2 hours to wander through all of the planes, engines an stories!! Mostly outdoors so best on a dry day but an umbrella would do!! Fascinating!

I really, really enjoyed this museum. If it wasn’t because the low lighting makes it hard to read the signs sometimes, I would’ve given it 5 stars. It’s super informative, both for adults and kids, with exhibits and displays throughout, photographs of the archeological process, and a lot of videos to explore at the end.

I gave myself too little time to see the whole place which turned out to be much larger than expected. I think 2-3 hours would be the right amount of time to see most of the museum.

The Galicia Museum was one of our favourite stops we made on our trip to Krakow. Not only does it touch on things we had heard of to do with the Holocaust, but it delved further into the lives of Jewish people before, during and after the war.

It is so important for people to continue to learn about the persecution of these normal people, and never let history repeat itself.

A Barbican is not singular to Krakow - it is the term for a fortified outposts to safeguard entry to a city; the one in Krakow is however the best preserved in Europe and one of few remaining as intact.

It stands north of Florians Gate and the old city center; it is 25 m in internal diamater and the walls are 3m thick. There are turrets and defensive embrasures all around - it gives a very good impression of what it actually took o break into a city at the time.

Today it houses an exhibition on Krakow defenses; but the museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays - so plan you r visit well! Or admire it from exterior.

The violet room (late 19th to early20th century) is a true highlight that in one room shows one of the most iconic examples of the Polish painting, many of which are just breathtaking. The other rooms are a bit less interesting but it might be a matter of personal taste - it seemed to me though that the truly interesting paintings from the violet room would benefit a lot from being exhibited less crammed and with more space around them to allow them to breathe, even if less paintings is shown in the exhibition space overall. In my opinion the works from this one room could have been easily just hung better to fill the whole gallery and it'd be great! See how it's done in the Tates, Guggenheims, etc...
The second major problem is that none of the paintings have any descriptions and there is very little information provided - this is a real disappointment, as there's no good reason for it.
Overall, great paintings but badly curated - someone should really rethink how it's done.

Really interesting museum. We went on a Wednesday when it is free so even better. There are only a few rooms but lots of things to read and videos to watch. All in Polish and English too.

    Super fun and hands on
We had to take the polish speaking class and aren’t fluent in Polish so our teacher was nice enough to say what she was saying in polish then repeat it in English. We had a great time. And actually learned a lot about Obawarzanka
