The square is beautiful! Its the heart of the city amd has a nice positive vibe and is definitely worth visiting.

Its filled with shops, bars and restaurants, many of which you can sit outside to eat. Prices and menus vary from each other so shop around.

Everything in and around the square is kept so clean, unlike any other cities i have visited.

It looks very austere from outside, but that hides a stunning interior. Well worth the small admission price and you could easily spend an hour or more looking round.

The Ghetto Heroes Square is without a shadow of a doubt the most powerful and poignant memorial to the plight of the Jewish population of Krakow during the German Army occupation of city.
Located in Podgorze, it was from this square that upto 70.000 people of the Jewish faith were herded into and ultimately deported to various concentration camps from which the majority perished ,the horrors that were committed on this square are unimaginable, if you watch the film Schindlers List you get an insight into the treatment handed out to the poor Jewish population by the occupying army ,the chairs that occupy the square are really poignant and signify the method of selection to the various concentration camps ,if you're in the Podgorze district its a must go destination.

One of the most beautiful streets in Krakow is Ulica Grodzka and along this street are some beautiful churches, one of the most eye catching is Church Of St Peter's And St Paul.
A wonderful looking church constructed in the 1600's in the Renaissance style of architecture that is so pleasing on the eye, the church interior is opulent, so much to take in, exterior is equally as pleasing on the eye, the statue's of the 12 apostles outside the entrance make for a great entrance, its a great church to view if you're planning a holiday to Krakow and easy to locate along Ulica Grodzka.

One of the most beautiful streets in Krakow is Ulica Florianska, starting from Rynek Glowny ( Main Market Square) it runs down as far as the stunning St Florians Gate ,street is lined with amazing architecture, visually its a joy to walk down, along the street are all manner of pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants plus some souvenir shops and it's popular both day or night ,if you're planning a holiday to Krakow it's a street that's most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the Old Town of Krakow.

One of the most photographed structures in Krakow is St Florians Gate.
Constructed in 1307 and once connected to the wonderful Krakow Barbican, this defensive gate, one of seven such gates that formed part of the defensive walls of the city is a great example of Gothic architecture, its a fabulous looking structure that in my opinion is best viewed at night when illuminated, its most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the Old Town of Krakow and easy to locate along Ulica Florianska arguably the most beautiful street in Krakow.

Lovely crossing with nice views down the river both sides. The sculptures hanging from the suspension arms give the bridge great character; but the stand-out feature has to be the locks.

I found Kraków to be a relaxed city full of kind people and affectionate couples. These locks provide a very literal realisation of this in a way that's bound to bring a smile to your face.

Took tram to look around the memorial site and found this gem by accident. There was a battle re-enactment taking place with stalls selling goods. Place was busy and views from top of mound amazing.

Ulica Kanonicza ( Kanonicza Street ) is one of the most beautiful streets in Krakow and one of the most historic.
This street and area was once the ancient hamlet of Okół,the buildings along this street are amazing, mostly homes for priests, the most famous resident here was Pope John Paul II ,I just love walking down this street and taking in the stunning architecture, its most definitely a street to check out if you're planning a holiday to Krakow.

A nice statue of a dragon beside the river. If you wait a few minutes it will breath fire! Downside loads of kids climbing all over it.

There’s not very much of the wall to see but we stood for a good twenty minutes staring and thinking. At face value, it’s a wall made with tombstone shaped blocks. It’s thinking about why they are tombstone shaped, who built the wall, the unimaginably and unnecessary cruelty that is the interesting part. How could humans do this to other humans?

Heading to the stunning Wawel Castle/ Cathedral I passed this church, viewed it before on many occasions and it still impresses me.
There's been a religious building on this site for many centuries, a wooden church was destroyed by the Swedish Army in 1655 rebuilt between 1659-1676 from designs from architect Krzyszof Mierszewski, dedicated to the Franciscan order known as the Bernardines ,its a beautiful twin towered church building with a wonderful facade ,interior is ornate and very pleasant on the eye ,its a church to most definitely check out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Bernardinska.

Food and souvenir stalls populated this square when we visited. The surrounding buildings are very nice as well. My partner and I shared a “big dog” which was tasty.

We visited here during our time in Krakow. Combined it with another venture. Views were amazing . We had a short walk along the river but had to turn back as it was closed off for some reason. Got a cab to our next venture The Mound
