- Iza Ż1 contributionThe best place to visit on any occasion! Great atmosphere, impressive collection and lots of interesting information. Mister Leszek takes real care to entertain his guests. He's really passionate about music and made my boyfriend want to start to play again.Written February 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Inspire392549259911 contributionGreat place to spend a few hours or even half a day if you like old school video games and flippers. Loads of sentimental and fully functioning equipment and excellent beer (or soft drinks if you like). Good option for a rainy day, but I’ll sure come back there, no matter what’s the weather.Written January 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rosie TLeatherhead, UK159 contributionsWe wanted to take a day train trip from Krakow and, having looked at the InterCity timetable, decided on Katowice (about an hour away). So glad we did, what a lovely city centre and wonderful Galeria for shopping. However, the highlight for us was the Museum of the History of Katowice. The middle floor has fascinating examples of middle class and upper class apartments from the 1900s. We were given information sheets in English, as a tour guide wasn’t available. The top floor has the history of Katowice itself with interesting exhibits and information provided in both Polish and English. About a mile from the train station, very quiet when we visited. You are requested to leave backpacks in the cloakroom. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting this lovely city.Written May 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JonDoe04134Umeå, Sweden4,312 contributionsLocated in a historical building, formerly the liveliest part of the local mine. Now exhibiting thought-provoking and hugely interesting art. Make sure to go up the stairs too and see some of the amazing paintings of the local genious Erwin Sówka.Written November 20, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - argerich1Manchester, UK210 contributionsI cannot believe this place has not got more reviews. If you are interested in the social and political change in the country, this is a must go. The whole museum is interactive with sound, visual s etc. I spent almost 3 hours there and I think I was the only person visiting during that time. Cost was 15 PLN which was a bargain. Probably not a museum for children as a lot of history and not much in the way of "fun".Written June 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pati PKrakow, Poland27 contributionsNice interesting spacious open place. Contemporary art. May be a little bit loud when there are rehearsals upstairs though it's nice to have sth in the background:)Written April 15, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Grażyna RKrakow, Poland275 contributionsWalcownia is a museum located a bit out of the way, but it's worth taking a look here because there are many old industrial machines here. In addition, the museum has a large collection of old cars.Written July 18, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pati PKrakow, Poland27 contributionsReally good contemporary art however a gallery is small, exhibitions are well arranged . Entrance may not be well visible as the restaurant's sign is above the doorsWritten April 15, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
