What travelers are saying
- FTMDaveAdria, Italy7,733 contributionsTo me this was the most impressive of Katowice's churches with its stain glass windows and attractive paintings inside along with its stunning Gothic exterior.Written August 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chantal RLeuven, Belgium372 contributionsThis 16th century cute little church is the main attraction of Kosciuszko Park. It has been saved from destruction in another Polish town and was rebuilt here. You can walk inside - when we were there only the hall way was accessible but you could see the rest of the inside behind bars. A little bit further you can cross the busy road through an underground passage and go to the Forest Park and further to the Valley of the Three Ponds, a nice walk.Written December 25, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chantal RLeuven, Belgium372 contributionsDon't miss this huge 20th century church, in classicist style which already looks huge from the outside but even bigger from the inside. Of course with a statue for the Polish pope Karol Wojtila, Saint John-Paul II.Written December 25, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Historically important for the district. An impressive statue of Saint Francis of Assisi on the roof, fans of church architecture and art can find more details too.Written July 5, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JonDoe04134Umeå, Sweden4,309 contributionsThis church is an integral part of this unique neighbourhood and while it's not exceptional in itself, it needs to be seen as part of the whole. And it fits so extremely well among all the red brick buildings. Pay attention to the unusual huge chandelier in its centre.Written March 14, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FTMDaveAdria, Italy7,733 contributionsThis is an attractive enough church to pop into if you're passing, but to be honest not worth going out of your way to see. Like any church in any European town.Written August 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JonDoe04134Umeå, Sweden4,309 contributionsIt's a church in this very important city district. Just because it's a church and older than other buildings around it, doesn't mean it's a worthy tourist attraction.Written August 4, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JonDoe04134Umeå, Sweden4,309 contributionsA church like many in the region, this one from the beginning of the 20th century. Nothing extraordinary and not in the best shape from the outside. Close to the city centre, but not really worth a visit.Written July 1, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
