    Great tour.
It is a long day, but well worth the time spent.
Our guide Thomas was very informative and provided useful information. Would highly recommend.

We used Intercrac in mid September 2022 for our tour to Our Lady of Czestochowa. They contacted us about a week before the tour and asked if we could switch to another day (which we couldn’t do because of other commitments.) We were somewhat apprehensive that our scheduled Saturday tour might be cancelled but were pleasantly surprised when it was not and even more astonished when our driver, Matthew, said it would be just the two of us! We were impressed that Intercrac honored the booking despite the small turnout.

Matthew was a very personable guide, filling us in on some of the local geography and history during the two plus hour drive. There were some activities that weekend regarding the “Trail of the Eagles Nest” and he was knowledgeable enough to alter the route slightly to avoid traffic issues. Once we were at the monastery, he walked with us to the shrine, pointing out everything we’d need to know – where to eat, water fountains, water closets, etc . He also discussed the schedule of Masses and events at the shrine. We had an adequate amount of free time to attend Mass, file past the Madonna, grab lunch and meet up with Matthew at our prearranged location. Then, he introduced us to one of the friars (Roman) from the monastery who would be our guide for the next hour. Roman was an excellent guide, taking us around the monastery and the shrine, eventually through the sacristy where we were able to enter the front pew directly in front of the Madonna. (Great timing, a great tour guide, or great luck? .. whichever, it was one of the highlights of our trip!)

Despite the long day and another couple hour drive back to Krakow, the time went quickly as Matthew engaged us in conversation and was open to answering any questions we had whether they involved areas we were driving through or life in Poland, in general.

We highly recommend both Intercrac and Matthew.

Most memorable experience at Our Lady of Częstochowa and Divine Mercy Sanctuary. Extremely happy with our driver Piotr. He picked us up from our hotel as if it’s a private tour. We are senior citizens and very grateful for his service.

The highlight of our trip. Seeing the Black Madonna almost had me in tears. Very overwhelming. I wish I could have stayed longer.

A visit to the Pauline Monastery at Jasna Gora is worth a visit whether to see the imposing fortress or on pilgrimage to see the Black Madonna. This is the most sacred pilgrimage in the very Catholic Poland. There will be crowds there.
Taking in the incredible cathedral or the Black Madonna chapel are both mystifying. Our guide really shared her faith, as a proud Pole, in explaining the history of the monastery and the current challenges of the Polish Catholic church. There are masses in English and also there are opportunities for Penance. The tour guides from Krakow as well as the onsite guides were incredible. Well done.
The weather was quite interesting in September. When our tour group walked into the monastery, the sun was shining. As we approached the chapel, it began to rain. While we were in the chapel and church, it began to hail. When we exited, there was sleet. Wow. Maybe the heavens were having fun with us.
Great Day and excellent tour. This is as incredible place of faith.I hope to return some day.

I have to say without a doubt this company is excellent but special word of thanks goes to Thomas & especially Simon. We booked various tours Aushwitz, John paul 2 & also the memorial museum tour. Both our drivers were both curtious. Nothing was any bother did everything to help. Cant fault the 2 guys in any way. All our tours were special to us and can only say a big thanks to the guys. The final tour which was the Black Madonna was exceptional. I think both guys should get the recognition they deserve.

Participating in church service at the historic site of Black Madonna was truly a heavenly experience. We would have never had the spiritual experience without Chris our guide providing all the background and arranging an expert location guide.

Jacob ,our driver/tour guide was very prompt in picking us. Once settled in the van(for the 3 of us), he distributed snacks in a brown bag.The drive to Czestochowa was very smooth. We went up the tower before our private guided tour with a Monk .Had Father Faustine just for the three of us.That was the highlight of the trip. The best private tour we can remember.Father Faustine showed us areas of the complex that very few tourists have seen.We kneeled very close to the Black Madonna TWICE! He was not rushing on our tour despite that there were thousands of pilgrims since it was the Feast of the Black Madonna.

We stopped at Our Lady of Piekary on our way back to Krakow which was a bonus.

We would do it all over again.

My friend and I were lucky to get a really excellent guide inside the Jasna Gora Monastery. Our guide, Fr. Szymon Stefanowicz hustled us through myriads of stairs, doors and alleyways, through the sacristy until we reached the inner sanctum where the Black Madonna is enshrined! and there she was and we were right in front of her while the other pilgrims could not even get a glimpse. We were thankful and grateful

This tour went very well and mostly on the expected time schedule. It was a full day with efficient driving in a very comfortable car driven by a very personable and fluent-in-English young man. The visits to Wadowice & Czestochowa were as promised and worth the time and money for the visits. It was a Holy Day and a Saturday so more commotion with weddings than might otherwise be the case but we got to do and see everything including the private tour of the church. Lunch was not included but we were taken to a very popular, large family oriented local restaurant for a very delicious late lunch/early dinner of local favorites. This was a very satisfying day and we were very pleased with the whole package. Highly recommended.

This was a wonderful tour and great Information on the site visit and plus other parts of the area. We have two small children and they enjoyed the tour also.

We learned more about Poland and Kamil did a wonderful job on making sure we understand what we were seeing and doing for the day. He had a wealth of knowledge and experience. Also he was very patient and great with the kids. We were even able to attend Mass and make it to all the sites.

It's really impressive to walk about the monastery and have one of the fathers or monks as a guide, it gives it even more feeling to the visit inside the Black Madonna Shrine. When we visited, it was a special day for many kids dressed in white, making their confirmation. So there was a lot of singing which made it so very special to visit the Shrine. Then do stop over to the main chapel which is as gorgeous as the shrine itself. We then visited the treasure room, where all the jewels, gold, silver and gemstones are kept from all the devotes and famous people that came to thank the Black Madonna. Very interesting to know that the Madonna is black because of an artistic technic of those times, yet her skin is not meant to simulate a dark skin woman. The dresses they have for her are impressive too....and to know that they undress the panting when she is not being visited was very interesting to know. I enjoyed the visit so much.
Chose a tour that won't rush you thru your visit and let's you take time to take in all the details and beauty of the shrine and main chapel. So worth enjoying it to the most.

A great trip. We have always wanted to see this wonderful picture. Our driver picked us up on time, we were traveling in a very comfortable vehicle. On the way our driver talked to us. On site, we had time to independently explore and admire this wonderful place. We highly recommend. We were only alone in the vehicle which was a huge plus for us
