Tour delivers you from your hotel to both locations with tickets to the John Paul home (1st stop) with audio guide and in Czestochowa we got a Sister as our English guide, who brought to life the whole experience of visiting the Black Madonna. The Black Madonna is veiled between 12pm-1330, with unveiling at 1330 with mass at that time. The total road journey was very long due to the distances and major road works at the time. You need to pack lunch, and eat in the van to maximise time at the locations and return to Krakow in reasonable time (our tour lasted 11hours). There were only two of us in a comfortable 8 seater.

My friend and I were lucky to get a really excellent guide inside the Jasna Gora Monastery. Our guide, Fr. Szymon Stefanowicz hustled us through myriads of stairs, doors and alleyways, through the sacristy until we reached the inner sanctum where the Black Madonna is enshrined! and there she was and we were right in front of her while the other pilgrims could not even get a glimpse. We were thankful and grateful

We were lucky enough to find Chris on TripAdvisor last year, and based on his reviews, we booked him for a guided tour of the black Madonna at Częstochowa tour along with several other tours. Chris is an extremely knowledgeable guide and a very nice person too. He was on time every day, got us to where we needed to be and we learned so much from him. Being of Polish descent, I have dreamt of seeing these places for my whole life, and Chris made that happen. We had a wonderful time because of him and I would highly recommend him!

This tour went very well and mostly on the expected time schedule. It was a full day with efficient driving in a very comfortable car driven by a very personable and fluent-in-English young man. The visits to Wadowice & Czestochowa were as promised and worth the time and money for the visits. It was a Holy Day and a Saturday so more commotion with weddings than might otherwise be the case but we got to do and see everything including the private tour of the church. Lunch was not included but we were taken to a very popular, large family oriented local restaurant for a very delicious late lunch/early dinner of local favorites. This was a very satisfying day and we were very pleased with the whole package. Highly recommended.

Jacob ,our driver/tour guide was very prompt in picking us. Once settled in the van(for the 3 of us), he distributed snacks in a brown bag.The drive to Czestochowa was very smooth. We went up the tower before our private guided tour with a Monk .Had Father Faustine just for the three of us.That was the highlight of the trip. The best private tour we can remember.Father Faustine showed us areas of the complex that very few tourists have seen.We kneeled very close to the Black Madonna TWICE! He was not rushing on our tour despite that there were thousands of pilgrims since it was the Feast of the Black Madonna.

We stopped at Our Lady of Piekary on our way back to Krakow which was a bonus.

We would do it all over again.

Krakow is a must-see If you are in Poland. There are so many sights to see, both historic and modern. The food scene is top notch and if you are into bars and nightlife, there is plenty to offer.
Some sights too see: Old town Square, Wawel Hill, River Cruise, Food Tour, Pub Crawl.
Definitely do a day trip to thr salt mine and Auschwitz.

Our Excitingpoland "Pearls of Poland" tour from May 19-31, 2024 enriched our lives. My husband and I traveled with 5 fellow Americans and a friendly, accommodating bi-lingual driver/guide named Witek. We were transported in a comfortable 9 passenger Mercedes bus for approximately 2 weeks. We would not have learned, seen, and done nearly as much on our own. Warsaw, Torun, Poznan, Krakow, Gdansk, and Zakopane were some of the cities we visited. Malbork, Wawel, Jasna Gora, the Baltic Sea, and the Tatra mountains along with many cathedrals and churches took our breath away. We also saw remnants of war such as Hitler's Wolf's Lair, the Schindler Factory, and Auschwitz-Birkenou. When we were leaving the glorious mountain views of Zakopane and headed towards Auschwitz, Witek appropriately referred to the contrast as "visiting Heaven and then visiting Hell", but those sobering sites were worthwhile and left equally profound impressions on us. This was a very well organized tour (thank you, Grzegorz!) The guides in the cities and at the sites were knowledgeable and informative. The hotels were nicer than expected and the FOOD! The breakfast buffets and well chosen restaurants did not disappoint! Poland is an amazing and beautiful country with resilient people, incredible history, and fascinating art and architecture. We have visited various places in Europe and elsewhere, and when compared to destinations with similar amenities, Poland is a travel bargain.

Tomasz from “Poland is beautiful” confirmed the pickup time the night before and he showed up on time the next day.
He explained about the tour and what to expect before we left
At the first stop, we arrived when the service started . He told me to wait and join the service as the Black Madonna is veilled after the mass .
    I was glad I did , it was a beautiful mass .
I also had a change to try local food nearby on his recommendation .
On the way to the chapel of Devine Mercy, he included the John Paul Ä°Ä° centre .
He gave plenty of time for me to explore both sites ,
I was so happy to join this tour , I would highly recommend it.

Poland is a beautiful country with welcoming people and delicious food. Filled with so much history and well packaged by the experience of GFP. We travelled from Warsaw to Krakow to Gdańsk by private van and felt safe and secure the entire trip. Our driver Kamil was outstanding and so accommodating as we had two 85+ adults with us that had some mobility challenges. The Hotels selected for us by GFP, Tomasz, were first class and well positioned in the cities we visited with easy access to dining and the sites. Don’t miss the castle of the Teutonic Knights, one of so many treasures to experience

The tour was excellent. Our driver Wiktor
Kowalczuk was friendly and efficient in getting us to the site. He was able to communicate with us in English quite well. The lunch was very delicious and the food was ethnically Polish. The site itself was inspiring and the priest who conducted our tour was very knowledgeable and friendly. We are very glad we included this tour in our travel itinerary. It was an enjoyable day.

Pawel, our driver, did a great job driving us to Czestochova. He was very friendly during the journey answering our questions 🙂. The sister Teresita was our amazing Spanish language guide in the sanctuary, we really enjoyed to see the picture of the virgin and to feel the peaceful atmosphere in the place and the faith of the people.
