This beach is magnificent, actually there is more the one. On a warm day there is a multitude of people. Water is clear and very very deep. If you want to take water bicicles for a spin there are a few places open until late afternoon so no worries.

The Old Town in Olsztyn may be much less spectacular than in so many other cities in Poland but it has its charm and a nice atmosphere. Whenever in Olsztyn we always go for a walk here . We enjoy all the landmarks. Stop at Cafés and stores, sit on benches. This time we bought some souvenirs and the traditional Easter “palms”. Our must-see is always the entry gate to the city.

This is a fantastic area in the western portion of Olsztyn. Perfect for family activities, picnicking, hiking, biking and water sports. Beautiful nature. The bridge across the lake is called a lovers' bridge. I am looking forward to visiting this area of natural beauty during the summer.

The Kudypy arboretum is one of the newest botanic gardens in Poland. It is a unique object – it has the only rich collection of native tree and brush species in the country and a collection of green plants typical of Warmia forests, including around 100species of legally protected green plants, also several species which are in danger of extinction.
We have visited it during autumn. It was very nice walk. I would like to see it also during spring so I need to come back there:)

This is a beautiful outdoor monument- you could say spectator-friendly. It is hard to fight the urge to take a picture with the great astronomer! You will notice the Copernicus Bench on your way to visit the Castle where Kopernik lived. A pleasant photo opportunity in Olsztyn.

This very interesting park is easily accessible as it is in the heart of the city of Olsztyn. Part of it includes Lynostrada . The Olsztyn Łynostrada is an 11 km long pedestrian and bicycle route, which runs along the course of the Łyna River.
The major point of the park is the so called “central square”, where all paths cross. The Park features many monuments and sculptures.
The park is great for all ages. Walking, biking, picnicking, playground for kids and open-air gym.

Planetarium offers sessions in English. There are many interesting topics.
Location is quite ok, not far from the center. Could be a bit more modern, but everything is fine anyway.
English speaking staff - one more good thing.

The Cathedral is one of those places one tends to explore again and again. This great church comes especially to the light during many religious events that take place here. It’s beauty brilliantly glows and organ music sounds powerful and clear. We visit this Cathedral whenever in Olsztyn.

Let's be honest, I adore castles and this one was the main reason for my trip to Olsztyn. Warmian Bishops' Castle is a brick gothic complex, built in the XIV century. It's well-known as a temporary home of astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, and because of that, you can see some documents written or signed by him.

The normal ticket costs 15 PLN, you need about an hour for seeing everything. During our trip, the Canal+ channel was making a documentary about this place - mainly about diamond vault from 1520. This was the reason for our stops and longer visit. I can tell that I was part of the movie. Well, I was only the reason for the floor creaking... but still, I am an actor from now!

Tip: Be aware, there is another Olsztyn in Poland (south, next to the Kraków), also with the castle. Check carefully if you are searching via the internet correctly.

Magical little shop with handmade, local crafts. We visited the shop to get some authentic souvenirs but ended up not only purchasing amazing pieces of folk art but also getting very valuable tips about the area. The couple running this shop is very kind, friendly and extremely helpful.

The Museum of Warmia is located in a former Castle of the Teutonic Knights. Copernicus lived here for a while and made calculations on the wall. A big bang mecca

My wife and daughter visited the waterpark on a sunny warm August afternoon and had great fun. My daughter liked the big fast slides, my wife the various water massage fountains. Entrance fee is quite cheap.
