- twinkletoes75Wickford, UK281 contributionsDisappointed I didn’t stumble across this at night other people’s night time pictures are stunning! You can walk under the fountains archway which some children were doing, if with children there is a park with play equipment very nearby as well.Written May 10, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- StendelEastpointe, MI412 contributionsVery nice street with nice architecture and some cafes and restaurants. If you are in the area check it out otherwise don’t make a special trip to see it.Written September 8, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- pawel_hbgSopot, Poland9,376 contributionsThe harbour gate has been started built in 1724 year. There are not so many old buildings in Szczecin do it is worth to see it, especially it is beautiful with a lot of details.Written July 15, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Rafal WSkoki, Poland1,391 contributionsChurch of Sts. Peter and Paul was built in years 1223-37, in place of first, wooden shrine, that has been burned down during Danish raid. Historians believe, that church stands in the same spot where the temple of Trzyglów, also called Tryglaw or Trajan/Trojan, great Pomeranian and Polabian god, once stood, as customarily, first Christian churches usually were built in places of earlier, pre-Christian temples. Small, oldest in Szczecin and built of characteristic red brick church, is located to the north-west of Ducal Castle, and originally stood outside of the city walls perimeter. In 15th century church was enlarged and tower was added, but the latter one didn't last for long. After less than century tower was demolished during rebuilding church's northern façade. At the beginning of 17th century church acquired small ridge turret, feature that can be found in many Pomeranian churches, both in Poland and Germany. Church suffered serious damage during siege of Szczecin in 1677. After the war, church was refurbished and rebuild. Old Gothic vaults and columns were replaced with wooden pseudo-vault and church gained new, Baroque look. During next renovation of the church in 1817, nearly all Baroque elements were removed, and at the beginning of 20th century northern façade was given Neo-Gothic look. The times of WW2 church survived relatively untouched. Huge, Baroque painting on ceiling has been well preserved, as well as some much earlier, Gothic elements. In 2006, in church's crypts some old, medieval burials were found. Unfortunately, we weren't able to look around the church's interior. We just had a little glimpse of it through the iron grating separating porch from the nave.Written September 23, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BoBartek27 contributionsWHAT AN AWESOME PLACE! It is so nice building with very friendy guids.
I recommend garnizonowy church for all kinds of tourism.Written May 31, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Keith GPetoskey, MI22 contributionsWe visited this unique part of Szczecin during our family heritage trip last June mainly because our last name is similar to the name of this park. Beautiful trees and flowers as well as interesting sculpture here. Unfortunately, all the signs were in Polish and not in English so we couldn't read anything. Later, we found it on the Internet and learned about the history of this special place. To make the visit more worthwhile, read about it on the web before you go see it.Written April 24, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- StendelEastpointe, MI412 contributionsThe monument here is a nice bronze monument with an anchor. That’s it not really worth it unless you are already in the area.Written September 7, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
