What travelers are saying
- Will25 contributionsVery nice area. Very touristy so lots of shops and restaurants. The vast majority of the staff spoke very good English. Also plenty of stuff to do within a short walking distance.Written September 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stefanie HLincoln, NE1,746 contributionsOur accommodation was a block away from Dluga Street, so we were on it everyday! It is so nice, with beautiful architecture and details everywhere. It goes from the Green Gate to the Golden Gate, with the Neptune Fountain near the center. There are shops, cafes, bars, everything you could need. It does get crowded with tourists, so it would be advisable to go early if you want nicer pictures.Written September 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stefanie HLincoln, NE1,746 contributionsThis street is fairly short but very beautiful, with flower pots on every stoop. There are tables of amber throughout the day as well, so it's a great place to buy it if you are interested in the jewelry. Mariacka is very close to Dluga Street, so you could visit both in the same day.Written September 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Will25 contributionsVery nice church. The church itself is free but you can pay a small fee to go up the church tower. After climbing the 409 steps the views at the top are pretty good. The viewing platform is quite small and got quite crowded when we were up thereWritten September 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Martina MNingbo, China53 contributionsLovely garden/park in a busy city. Lots of water features - ponds, fountains, waterfalls. Many nicely shaped flower beds, one corner is a Japanese style garden too. Palmarium Is a small greenhouse, there Is also a nice Caffé. In the park you can spot many birds, ducks, squirrels... And the entrance Is free.Written May 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Leszek KWarsaw, Poland94 contributionsAmazing views <3 All necessary things like coffee, food etc you get in 5 minutes from nearest restaurants. This small "river" dropping to the sea in this place is amazing.Written March 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Martina MNingbo, China53 contributionsGreat walk along the riverside, however currently one part Is under construction. Once it Is ready, there Is a splendid technically unique bridge - every half an hour it Is connecting the banks for pedestrians to cross, the other half an hour it Is hidden in the middle od the river si the boats can go. Anyway - excellently rebuilt from ruins, in an old&modern way. Lovely Vibe, just Grab your coffee or a cup of hot chocolate & enjoy. Or, if you are more adventurous, you can try kayak or other water vehicle for rent, to take a ride in the riverWritten May 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Martina MNingbo, China53 contributionsVery unique church/cathedral. Amazing huge organs, statues of angels move And play! On Saturdays organ concerts (20 min, between 10-11 a.m., can't remember the time), voluntary fee for church. Breathtaking.Written May 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Stefanie HLincoln, NE1,746 contributionsThe Neptune fountain is a very pretty fountain on Dluga Street. It's usually crowded, and if there is an event going on, they set up tents right in front of it, but you can generally get a nice picture since it's big. Recommended to see if you are on Dluga Street.Written September 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sirakuza BisquitRiga, Latvia66 contributionsGood height, boxes with air consitioner and nusic BUT the windows haven’t seen thorough cleaning in a while (or people are touching them with sweaty palms all the time), so it hinders with the sight a bit.Written August 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Thomas VOakland, CA17,519 contributionsThis is the huge gate in the city walls where you are likely to enter the old city. If you are walking from a tour bus, the bus will park outside the walls and the path that everyone takes is through this gate. Good picture-taking from the bridge over the river that is right outside the gate. Lovely old structure, rebuilt after the war.Written July 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Thomas VOakland, CA17,519 contributionsAs you walk down Dlugi Street from the big entrance at the Green Gate, this is the gate at the other end. So stroll down the entire street, note and admire the large number of highly-decorated buildings, and then you can pass through this impressive old gate. Outside is one of the big theaters.Written July 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Thomas VOakland, CA17,519 contributionsOne of the streets in the old town, not the major wide one with all the gorgeous buildings. But this one is worth exploring for shops and restaurants, and even though it has traffic, it still has charm. Re-built buildings.Written July 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
