It's a very nice city: beautiful architecture, friendly people, and exciting entertainment. I really liked it. Prices for food and services are not high. I highly recommend the fish restaurant and massage on Rybny Targ Street

The old town of Gdansk was reconstructed after World War II, it was cleverly rebuilt into the appearance of the period of Renaissance.

The entire street is filled with stunning historic buildings and landmarks.

The downside is that it's often crowded until late at night. There are very few people before 7:00 in the morning. Avoiding the crowds, you can enjoy very beautiful scenery along the way,..... and take pictures.

A peaceful oasis. Trees, gardens, plants, huge green house for palm trees. A 20 min walk from Oliwa train station. Art museum.

This is a cathedral not to be missed. It is one of the most beatiful I have seen (and I have seen many) - the longest Carmelite church in the world - and it has a spectaular organ with regular daily organ recitals, and 1 hour concerts in July and August (we are returning to hear one at 8pm in the evening).
The church has a delightful interior with several marble altars, a catacomb of bishops and a side chapel of the Virgin Mary (no photos allowed). Definitely try to include it in your itinerary as well as 1.5 hours for Oliwski Park (the former Abbot's palace gardens).

Not too much to see and we had to squeeze in the visit as we booked a one hour return slot on boat from Old Town but it was enough time for us.

In itself, not so special, but if you visit the city centre you can automatically stop by and combine it with a walk on the street.

It is a very interesting reminder about socialism and value of democracy. It is also close to the museum of solidarity, which is a reminder of the era as well. Definitely worth combining.

We decided to visit the beach late afternoon. It's very easy to got here from the city, we took tram No 6 - stop is in front of the main railway station (also tram No 8 is going the same direction). The ticket costs 4.80PLN zl. From the end of the tram at Jelitkowo it's about 5-10 minutes walking. When we were there it was a bit windy but we simply enjoyed being there. It must be very nice in the summer. Going to the beach we passed a restaurant where oldies have outside dancing party. You should visit it.

We visited here whilst on holiday and had lunch. A very cool place with a huge selection of eatiers. We went to the hummus stall which was fantastic and reasonably priced. Would recommend a visit there.

Besides the fact that we are constantly buying honey and cheese in this market, we can recommend meat products, herbal teas and farm products. But cheese and honey are what you have to try!
