- SusannaGdansk, Poland2 contributionsIt's a very nice city: beautiful architecture, friendly people, and exciting entertainment. I really liked it. Prices for food and services are not high. I highly recommend the fish restaurant and massage on Rybny Targ StreetWritten September 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - liucy752Taipei, Taiwan1,214 contributionsThe old town of Gdansk was reconstructed after World War II, it was cleverly rebuilt into the appearance of the period of Renaissance.
The entire street is filled with stunning historic buildings and landmarks.
The downside is that it's often crowded until late at night. There are very few people before 7:00 in the morning. Avoiding the crowds, you can enjoy very beautiful scenery along the way,..... and take pictures.Written September 6, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ivan KinsmamKielce, Poland817 contributionsThis is a cathedral not to be missed. It is one of the most beatiful I have seen (and I have seen many) - the longest Carmelite church in the world - and it has a spectaular organ with regular daily organ recitals, and 1 hour concerts in July and August (we are returning to hear one at 8pm in the evening).
The church has a delightful interior with several marble altars, a catacomb of bishops and a side chapel of the Virgin Mary (no photos allowed). Definitely try to include it in your itinerary as well as 1.5 hours for Oliwski Park (the former Abbot's palace gardens).Written July 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ivor MAberdeen, UK21 contributionsNot too much to see and we had to squeeze in the visit as we booked a one hour return slot on boat from Old Town but it was enough time for us.Written September 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Georgia HejdukováPrague, Czech Republic9 contributionsIt is a very interesting reminder about socialism and value of democracy. It is also close to the museum of solidarity, which is a reminder of the era as well. Definitely worth combining.Written September 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Eva TUnited Kingdom1,348 contributionsWe decided to visit the beach late afternoon. It's very easy to got here from the city, we took tram No 6 - stop is in front of the main railway station (also tram No 8 is going the same direction). The ticket costs 4.80PLN zl. From the end of the tram at Jelitkowo it's about 5-10 minutes walking. When we were there it was a bit windy but we simply enjoyed being there. It must be very nice in the summer. Going to the beach we passed a restaurant where oldies have outside dancing party. You should visit it.Written October 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
