- Dc G5 contributionsOld town Gdansk is so beautiful and vibrant. It’s one of our favorite places we’ve ever been to and we have travelled all over the world. One cautionary note to pass along is do not take taxis here!!! . Our group was 5 people and we needed two taxis from the train station to fit all of us and our luggage. The taxi drivers were rude and charged us a ridiculous amount 100 PLN for a 5 minute cab drive to our hotel. We looked up what Uber would have costed us and it said 30PLN. We felt very ripped off. You will find it right away when you enter the old city through a big gate. I love the various architectural styles here were old meets new.
Dolne Miasto roughly encompasses the district of Srodmiescie and takes in the East banks of the River Motława .
