The Amber city of the World mesmerized me. Preserved history which shows us the past, teaching us lesson. Delicious and affordable food and cheap über rides. The port is also a sight. I will surely come back ❤️❤️❤️. I will personally say that some people arent that friendly. A bonus to experience the 2nd best Christmas market in Europe.

Gdansk is teeming with WW2 sights so I was excited to see what the museum had in store. I wasn’t disappointed! This is a very modern and well laid out experience that brings you into the brutal story of WW2 in Poland. Lots of fascinating relics and immersive dioramas to explore. The only downside is that it was very busy and often hard to concentrate at times due to the crowds. Still, a must when in Gdansk.

We visited on a Monday (contrary to some reviews it’s not free that day!) and found it well worth the ticket price.

Audio tour is included and informative, took the 1.5hr option which was more than enough. Available in several languages. Lots to read (with polish and English text) watch and explore along the route. Creative displays and interactive exhibits.

Couple of cafes on site, had coffee on the ground floor one. Free cloakroom and small gift shop on site.

Make this one of the areas that you will focus on during your visit as there is a lot of lovely restore architecture along this old street, as well as a lot of good eating and drinking. We had lunch in a cafe on this street, so there you are. Stroll slowly.

What a beautiful street. We visited by day and night, both were amazing.
The buildings and the architecture are stunning, the amber glistens at night on display.
Just lovely to walk down and take it all in.

It is absolutely magnificent. I mean outside and architecture is one thing but inside totally breathtaking. It is quite simple but the most important thing is the old astronomical clock. It reminds you the one in Prag bit the difference is that everyday it only ticks once around 11.57 am to noon and it is quite a sight. Also you must not forget to climb to the tower where you can see the panoramic view of the city. Definitely the most important place to visit in town

A truly amazing historic site. To think this is one of the first places where WW2 started, and we all know what was to happen in the following years. A moving place as well, with the impressive memorial and cemetery. A must visit for anyone interested in WW2 and in the area.

Walking down the river side was lovely. The beautiful buildings along with the restaurants, shop and cafes, it has a real relaxed charm to it.
There are tall ships in the harbour, museums, men fishing, a carousel and nearby is Amber Street.
The swing bridge is interesting and the Gdansk sign is in the garden by the Wheel.
Lot's going on down there and a lovely walk.

After intense days in Gdansk centre - old town, we went to Oliwski Park. It is smaller then expected, but very nice experience. Interesting style plantings and overall atmosphere. Nice break and walk after busy Gdansk old town.

Amazing views <3 All necessary things like coffee, food etc you get in 5 minutes from nearest restaurants. This small "river" dropping to the sea in this place is amazing.

Very unique church/cathedral. Amazing huge organs, statues of angels move And play! On Saturdays organ concerts (20 min, between 10-11 a.m., can't remember the time), voluntary fee for church. Breathtaking.

A unique museum displaying Gdansk's links with amber. Interesting history and educational on how it is produced and crafted. My personal favourite was the electric guitar made out of amber.
