    Relatively well kept zoo and intelligent pricing system
    As far as zoos go, Olomouc zoo seems to offer its animals at least a certain degree of habitat, although the bears enclosure could be better. There is good work with regards to rescuing animals, ie the owl enclosure. There is pleasant forest shade for hot, summer days and optional extras for kids who want something with a little more adrenaline. The restaurant is pleasant, reasonably priced and overall, a good day out. There have been complaints about the carpark system which i can't comment on as we fortunately don't rely on cars to get around. The public transport system from Olomouc is great and it's an easy cycle ride away.

    very easy to rent a car
    it was my first time taking a car on rent in Olomouc, Tomáš was very helpful, he is fluent in English, so he managed to explain to us everything very clearly... their prices are also among the best in Olomouc city

    You'll enjoy this if you get the right language tour.
    I guess we should have noticed that English would be an issue here as the website had no translation and there was no reference to English tours or any special requirements, though we were told we should have called ahead to organise this. That said our skipper for the trip did give us the basic details in English and answered any questions but I think the point of the cruise was a little lost without the full commentary. So for English only transients passing through Olomouc for a day or two I would focus on the other big hitting sights in town as we missed a few to spend time on the cruise.
