Large square in the old town filled with lots of bars and restaurants along with the historic clock . The area can get very busy with lots of tourists but is somewhere to visit and enjoy .

First time visiting Charles Bridge and what a beautiful old bridge it is. It has many interesting statues and the old cobble stones make it extra special. Beggars are an issue though.

I spent 9 days in Prague and I have the opportunity to see many sites. To me the most impressive ones are: the Loreta, the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas, the Spanish Synagogue, the Cathedral of Saint Pater and Saint Paul at Vyserhad, the Municipal House, and the St. Vitus Cathedral.

This was my second trip to Prague. In my first visit, I took a tour, which was a mistake. Majority of tours take you only to the main entrance and you will have a very limited visit to the cathedral that only allows you to see some windows and the roof. I strongly recommend to pay the ticket to visit the cathedral. The ticket is not expensive and allows you to see 4 sites including the Royal Palace, the Saint George Basilica, the Golden Line, and the St, Vitus Cathedral. You may spend a whole afternoon visiting these sites and all of them are impressive. The ticket costs approximately 10 dollars. I arrived at noon on a beautiful Monday; there were no lines. The Cathedral is not crowded as most tours do not go inside and stop at the main entrance; in addition, not many people pay for the ticket. The visit is actually relaxing and quiet; you will find mainly independent tourists.

Saint Vitus Cathedral has very impressive windows and roses. The two roses describe the life of Christ; there is an art nouveau colorful window depicting the saints of the Czech republic; this window was painted by Mucha. The music hall has beautiful décor, the side doors are beautiful, the golden portal is magnificent, the tomb of Saint Wenceslaus is really nice (the paintings, the door knobs, etc.), the tomb of Saint John Nepomuceno is an impressive baroque tomb made of silver, the roof is lovely, etc.

You have to read online on the sites inside the cathedral or have a good guide book. It is easy to understand. The cathedral was built over a period of almost 600 years and because of this, it is eclectic as it depicts many art styles in a single building (gothic, baroque, neoclassical, art nouveau). The Cathedral dominates Prague and you can see it from almost every place.

Once outside, walk around the cathedral and look for the rooster, the golden helmet, and Sigismund, the big bell located in the roof.

We went to the zoo today. Easy access with metro and then bus, not far out of the centre. Very big zoo and we were amazed in how much space each animal has. There were venues with heating for thgw tropical animals. Very organised with many wc and benches to rest. In a few words we loved it. Adults about 13€ entrance

Old Town is the most beautiful of places in Prague. Plenty of stuff going on, especially the astronomical clock on the hour.

If you visit Prague, you must see Hradcany Palace. You can get a glimpse of it in a short movie, published in my YouTube channel @placescases7866, but live it impresses much more with its imposingness, the grace of the art in it, the fabulous views of Prague.

Lovely walk up to the top but it is quite steep and cobbly so take care! Beautiful views and great place to take pictures especially on a sunny day. Walking back down, a different way that we went up, we visited some pubs along the way to enjoy an ice cold Staropramen! We had earned it from walking up

If you visit, do take the included headphones and listen to the narrative. Most is done by the current generation of Lobkowicz family members and quite interesting. Frankly, I think this museum would be significantly less interesting without the narrative. They discuss the family and share some of their art collection. It is at the end of the castle area but it is not included on the castle ticket. It is worth the extra price.

Not attractive from the outside, many people might not be inclined to enter especially with a 60krona entrance fee . But inside it is absolutely beautiful, stunning features from every angle.

Took a tour at the Municipal House and what a place. The tour was informative and interesting. One can buy tickets online and pictures are not only allowed but encouraged here. Not suitable for children under 10. Highly recommend it!

This is a very beautiful church located in the old town of Prague; it dominates the Jan Huss square. It has two towers that are unique, different, and they remind you the churches of a fairy tale. The church is gothic and the interior is Hussite; it is more sober when compared with other churches and because of the Hussite style is actually unique. The church is also very interesting because the main façade is behind some of the old market stores and the entrance is somewhat difficult to find. The church was built after the market and although centuries ago the plan was to demolish the stores, this was not possible adding to the unique features of this church.

There is no entrance fee. It does not open on Mondays. Although the interior is somewhat dark, the light through the windows in a clear morning makes the church interior magical.

Our tour guide, after a longer morning touring around the Prague Castle, took us off to the side to the Wallenstein Palace Gardens so that we could sit, relax and enjoy the surroundings. It was the perfect place to rechange our batteries…and based upon the number of locals enjoying their lunches there, obviously an exceptionally popular spot with the locals. The gardens were beautiful with wonderful water features and carved walls (to look like random carvings, but actually contain hidden images). And the gardens were exceptionally well maintained.
