What travelers are saying
- Jill S2 contributionsA unique glimpse into the mysterious world of the medieval alchemists. Helpful, well-informed guide and a pretty shop.Written August 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jeff PPrague, Czech Republic200 contributionsWell-organized, good signage - I started at the top and by the time I had worked my way to the ground floor I was too full to take in the mining and other exhibits in the basement. But it's great for the history of boating, motorcycles, cars, and aircraft in the Czech Republic. This place is not air-conditioned.Written July 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- lenka dBrno, Czech Republic22 contributionsI like it a lot, you can imagine the conditions the soldiers lived in. Definitely recommend to everybody interested in historyWritten August 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dylan M5 contributionsA good way how to spend a day in Prague in a little bit of nature. - brixton456Indianapolis, IN314 contributionsGorgeous garden just to take a relaxing walk off the roads and sidewalks right below the Castle. A little hard to find as there was not much signage. We ran into a large tour group but they were always on the other side of the garden. Nice to watch the koi fish and just relax for a little bit.Written August 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - traveldad2018New York City, NY228 contributionsThe basilica (a good deal at about $6) is impressive inside and out, though it felt a little less impressive as we just came from the Cathedral. That said, the cemetery is also nice and it’s very relaxing on a nice day, with good views of Prague. The guided tour, mentioned by other reviewers, may have been additive.Written August 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - VerĂłnica M1 contributionThis museum is very special. Perfect if you love the history of cinema and specifically the history of Czech animation including Soviet ones. It is in interactive and offers a really great journey to its visitors. I took my son with who was very happy doing live sound design and animation. We also watch our first Virtual Reality movie (ask for it 50 Krones extra) really excellent movie about mental health. This museum is now very dear to me. Have fun!Written August 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- brixton456Indianapolis, IN314 contributionsThis is the site where Czech paratroopers went into hiding after their assassination attempt (Operation Anthropoid) on Reinhard Heydrich, the highest ranking Nazi assassinated during WW2. You can still see the impacts of bullets around the window from a gun battle with the Nazi's days after the attempt. There is a small but very well done museum on site too that outlines the events surrounding the operation. From the museum, you enter the crypt of St. Cyril where some of the paratroopers made their last stand. The crypt now houses memorials to the fallen heroes. To better understand the significance of the event and this site in particular, I highly recommend watching the 2016 movie "Anthropoid" before you visit.Written August 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pub Monster NeilLiverpool, UK50,403 contributionsKampa Park is a lovely area of Mala Strana that's always a joy to visit, its not all about the David Cerney " Baby Statue's "as cool as they are as there's beautiful buildings, great views of the Vltava River and amazing restaurants and bars ,its peaceful, its wonderful to walk around, its an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle of the Lesser Town ( Mala Strana ) and if you're planning a holiday to Prague its most definitely well worth checking out.Written March 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GirlOnTheGoUnited States19 contributionsWhat a fabulous day we had at Vyšehrad! While still in Prague, we felt like we were a million miles away as it was not overrun with tourists. The cathedral is absolutely beautiful and by far our most favorite of all we have seen in all of Europe.Written August 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RJN612Pottsville, PA487 contributionsHaving been to various military museums in Europe, I can state that this one is fantastic. It is laid out perfectly by era with great detail in its displays and artifacts. The museum is quite large and easy to navigate. The WW1 trench display reminded me of its counterpart at the Imperial War Museum in London. There is no charge but I happily left a donation. This is a real hidden gem of Prague.Written September 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jacob DBrighton, UK94 contributionsReally beautiful gardens and not too crowded. Also there are peacocks and owls. - fred k11 contributionsThe wife and I loved the synagogue. It is like nothing else in the city, full of colour and peaceful. The colours and shapes are awe inspiring, and for only ÂŁ5 per person it is a MUST for anyone visiting Prague. Staff were also super friendly and informative.Written September 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Detlef Golletz4 contributionsDay.Trip organised personal drivers to take us from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur and 4 days later back to Singapore again. Whilst this option if travel is not cheap it is definitely value for money as it was transport from the Hotel door in Singapore to Apartment door in KL. The booking was very easy and reliable and shortly after payment we received an email with the details of our driver car reg and his photo. The driver also Whatsapped us a day before travelling to confirm everything. Both drivers turned up dead on time, helped with the luggage and we drove in welcome air-conditioning through the sweltering heat. Both drivers spoke good English and were very very friendly and excellent and very safe drivers sticking to the speed limit. Onnoyr return journey we booked a detour to Malacca, the driver dropped us right outside the heritage city centre andvpicked us up 2 1/2 hours later at the same spot. The border controls were mainly handled by the driver, but we had to do the necessary online entry formalities up front ourselves, which is fair enough. Thank you DayTrip for a wonderful and reliable service, without you and your excellent drivers we would've never been able to spend 5 wonderful days in amazing KL and seen Malacca. I can wholeheartedly recommend this service.Written September 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
