What travelers are saying
- RJN612Pottsville, PA509 contributionsSt. Vitus cathedral is stunning. The entire structure is so well preserved and maintained. It is spacious as are many cathedrals but this is cavernous. Frescoes, paintings and statuary are very detailed and awe inspiring. We were very glad we got to visit.Written September 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Michael WDarwin, Australia4 contributionsMy husband and I first read about this place when planning our trip from Australia and upon entering Thrill Park Prague, when asked by the (actually very friendly) staff where we were from, were told “that’s a long way to come to DIE”.
The entrance and staff set the scene for what is to come, and suitably freaked, we entered the dungeon…
And what an awesome, freaky and entirely scary experience. Legitimate scares and screams and I’ll never forget the feeling of having my ankle grabbed as I desperately tried to crawl away from a psychotic horror creature.
I discovered a new fear in claustrophobia and also the realisation if my husband and I were ever in a real life horror situation, we may actually perish… I’m glad we made it out alive and absolutely recommend everyone experience the Thrill Park Prague.
Watching the videos of us screaming and running desperately from a chainsaw wielding mad man and being told my husband’s scream was the longest of the night was another highlight.
Will definitely be having the pictures of us screaming in terror printed as a badge of honour that we survived the whole dungeon, and are definitely not chickens (although we would have laid several eggs if we had the ability!).Written October 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Constructed in the late 16th century by the Czech nobleman Jaroslav Of Perstejn, its a great building to explore, most distinctive feature of this palace building is the beautiful stone tower ,all in all its a great place to check out if you're in Prague Castle.Written April 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Hans G15 contributionsWow concert venue with four eateries, an up market restaurant a beer hal downstairs another upstairs and a cafe type bar outside, all in a beautiful art deco building, worth it just to look inside. I had been walking past its beautiful exterior for days before going in, last meal of holiday in beer Keller exceptional and such helpful waitress service, shame to accordion player had so few to entertain.Written August 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kayla7 contributionsit’s a good place to go for a laugh, it’s great for shock humour and a funny story, OBVIOUSLY not meant to be educational lolWritten September 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - rosebugbeds4,010 contributionsThis lovely church is on a corner of the old town square. I have seen some beautiful chandeliers in churches but I don't think I've ever seen a glass one quite like this. You can visit the church for free but I would highly recommend buying a ticket for one of the classical concerts held there in the evenings. A lovely experience.Written September 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Marion28 contributionsVery interesting and informative museum, for many aspects. Set on at least five floors there is lots to discover. One floor had veteran cars, two large steam trains, planes and numerous motorcycles
Another floor had domestic appliances, vintage hospital equipment. With notices on the wall showing medical advances over the centuries. Really fascinating
Another floor has astronomical clocks, models of the solar system , sextants and lots of interesting information etc
There are lifts to most floors and it was easy to navigate. There is a discounted rate for seniors children and students.
The views over the town from the windows also worth seeing. Outside the museum is a large park, very well kept, and clean. Autumnal colours emerging
From the park you can easily walk into the old town down sloping paths and steps. Again great views
You can also get to the museum by tram number 8. From the tram stop its about 8 minutes walk and there is good sinage
On the road up to the museum,on the right side is a green building, no sign. Inside is a small pub. All local men inside and beer for 35 krown, equivalent to £1.00 a pint. Very atmosphericWritten October 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Helpful, well-informed guide and a pretty shop.Written August 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jennifer W4 contributionsA moving dedication to the heroes of this awful tragedy. Lots of information about the men and the events leading up to their deaths. Very interesting.Written October 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- OldAccountantNorthampton, UK353 contributionsThis (the Veletrzni Palac) is easily the most under-rated and from the (many) times I've been there over the last 20 years, the most under-visited major art museum in Europe, probably because of its location outside Prague Old Town. The collection, and semi-permant display, following a re-hang, is modern and predominantly (as you would expect) Czech. This three-floor exhibition has been re-arranged superbly and, unless you have been before, you should expect art from the last 150 years that you have not seen previously. To really see what is in this building you need around six hours - I did it in three wet afternoons at roughly two hours per floor. Or you could do a whole day including coffees, lunch and a well-deserved pre-dinner drink in the modern and super popular cafe. Go! A tram stops close by or the Vltava metro stop is only a few minutes walk. A tip on the cost, you can buy a combined year long friends ticket which gives unlimited access and is excellent value, particularly if you want to do this site and others over a few days. Remember too, the mediaeval branch in Josefov, the fine arts one near the Castle, the temporary exhibitionat the Kinsky on Old Town Square and so on, all of which are worth a look.Written July 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jackiefb45Brighton, UK9 contributionsWhat an amazing and fun experience! My son and I came across this quite by chance, but what a find. There's a huge range of models - from Chewbacca to Pinocchio, from Elvis to Alien, from a Ferrari to Winnie the Pooh. An added bonus is that some of them are interactive - you can sit on them, open doors, swing chains, hold weapons. A really great place to visit for any age!Written September 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ERFSU82Wellington, FL2,004 contributionsWe stopped in to see the giant column of books, which is worth seeing. It’s free to enter. We arrived around 10am on a Wednesday and waited in line about 10 minutes. You can see it and take photos without waiting in line, but if you want to peer inside or get photos with nobody else in them, you’ll have to wait in line.Written July 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Koen V72 contributionsThe spiked towers are visible from all over the city so of course we visited Tyn Church.
You can just walk in, it's free!
The church is very pretty decorated and we absolutely recommand to visit the church.
It's not very big inside so we spent about 15min. inside
But because it's free, just go over there and take a good look around.Written September 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
