- Derek PLanark, UK291 contributionsLovely gothic architecture and an interesting elegant (but somewhat over-rated in my opinion) astronomical clock. The hourly "pageant" of the apostles is brief and it's a good job it's free. But the square has a lovely European ambiance. Remeniscent of Germany and Austria, and not unlike Spain if you forget the millions of cobbles! It's a very nice space. - Neil KLiverpool, UK610,791 contributionsWalking over the magnificent Charles Bridge which connects the Old Town to Lesser Town is something I love doing on any trip to Prague I take,also known as Mala Strana ,it's probably the oldest part of this fantastic Bohemian city .
The architecture in this beautiful district is jaw dropping,period buildings,ancient churches ,twisting cobblestoned streets packed with amazing pubs,bars and restaurants ,it's a great area to explore and get lost in ,I've been coming to Prague for close to 30 years and I still find new things to check out ,it's a wonderful,vibrant district to visit and most certainly well worth checking out if you're planning a trip to Prague.Written April 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - jenjen2123Canterbury, UK50 contributionsPretty walk around the park. Great views and I bet it’s spectacular in summer. Easy to reach by public transport. Play park for kids. The tour takes you underground where a whole new world opens! It also allows you to see the backside of the Apostles that appear on the hour above the Astronomical Clock. - starlightShanghaiVictoria, Canada3,540 contributionsThis place must be absolutely stunning in the late spring and early summer. It’s very pretty even just now, with most of the trees and shrubs still bare.
The park is incredibly popular with all age groups: families, couples, and solos. Also, a lot of doggies (on leashes, of course) and joggers.
There are several viewpoints that overlook the Vltava River and dozens of benches elsewhere on which to sit and soak up the atmosphere.
Notable features in the park include:
1. Hanavský Pavilion - originally built as the representative pavilion of the Komárov Ironworks for the Prague Jubilee Exhibition in 1891; now, it’s a pricey restaurant with stunning views of Prague’s bridges.
2. The Prague Metronome - in Letná Park since 1991, where a monstrous Stalin monument used to be; this sculpture represents the relentless passage of time and is a cautionary reminder of times past.
The major irritants are the skateboarders, the empty booze bottles (broken), and the ugly graffiti. - Neil KLiverpool, UK610,791 contributionsWalking down Karmeliska you pass one of the most beautiful churches in Prague namely Kostel Panny Marie Vitezne A Prazske Jezulatko ,aka The Monastery Of Jesus Of Prague or alternatively Church Of Our Lady Victorious .

Dating back to the 14th century, its one of the most beautiful examples of Gothic style architecture that you're ever likely to view ,its two spires soaring 80 metres into the sky look amazing,this church has been the main place of worship in this part of Prague for centuries, its one of the landmark features of the Old Town, viewed of a day its magnificent, at night its stunning as is the whole of Staromestske Namesti ( Old Town Square) ,if you're planning a trip to Prague this is a must go destination and a must see Church building.Written May 6, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Sam D. According to ancient legends, Vyšehrad is the oldest seat of Czech princes; in fact, the local settlement was established in the mid-10th century.
I took a private tour to the Casemates & Gorlice, where I was surprised when the tour guide informed me that this place appeared in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol as Moscow’s Kremlin’s underground tunnels!!!
The Cathedral of St. Peter & Paul as well as the Cemetary were stunning!

Walk through forests on paths.13km for the longest trail. Lots of benches and huts along the way.
