I took my 17 year old to see his first Opera, La Traviata. He was completely blown away by the experience. Both the beautiful location and the opera. He can't wait to go again.

This is a stunning building! I read other reviews and most of them were true. Apparently the only complete exhibit is the minerals. It was interesting. There was a temporary coin exhibition with ancient coins. Egyptian exhibit was sold out. You can skip if you don’t have time but I’m glad I went as we were in Prague for 4 days.

We were taken on this amazing tour by a very professional and personable guide named Lenka. My husband particularly wanted to do this tour and I went along hesitantly, unsure how I’d cope with what we saw. However, I was very glad I went. The tour started at the Church of St Cyril and Methodius, where we met up with Lenka. After a thorough look at the crypt and seeing inside the beautiful restored church we were taken by car to the area where Heydrich was assassinated, then to Lidice. We had a leisurely walk around Lidice, looking at all the memorials (such a moving experience) then were taken back to Prague.
We recommend this tour highly. The one thing missing was that Lenka did not mention the other village destroyed by the Nazis as retribution for the assassination. It would have been worthwhile to hear about that too. I also think it would have been better at that early hour if we had been picked up from our hotel as it was very chilly walking through the streets. However, that is a minor criticism and I saw later online that this is normally offered.

Lenka’s knowledge of these historical events and ability to communicate that was excellent as her command of English is exceptional. She went out of her way later to return my glasses to me and steadfastly refused to take any payment for this great kindness. Thank you again, Lenka!

The cemetery is to be told as the most negative and gloomy place not only. in the Czech Republic but around Europe. During my visit I did not feel any negative waves maybe because of nice sunny weather when I was there. All graves are covered by ivy except one still erected grave of Maria Tuma died at the age of 29 years. Around 5000 people buried there. The walk around was great and relaxing with aura of mystery, melancholy and eerie.

For film lovers, especial Amadeus movie, some parts were shot there.

To get there you can take a car and park around in the entrance or take a bus 236 to bus stop U Drahane and walk via gardening colony to the entrance.

Gigantic internal dimensionnes, fully decorated and a construction wisely created to capture sunlight: this church is inspiring whether you're a believer or not.

Do not miss the 30mn in it. You'll remember it years long

I have been to Kasarna Karlin various time with Friends and Colleagues. Its perfect for an after work beer, drinks and snack. Suggested also for the warm atmosphere and the possibility to watch movies at night

Located on the lower level of the Hilton this is NOT a Vegas hotel.
However, the dealers are friendly and the tables are player friendly, I.e. blackjack still pays 3 to 2 unlike some of the greedy Las Vegas casinos which have gone to 6 to 5. Also the roulette table is single zero.

Very good simple food, but real one.Just two options but always tasty and great value. Friendly staff, only desserts are Czech fakes from substitutes.

Lukas is an amazing tour guide - lots of interesting information but not too much. He was great at communicating with us amidst the COVID restrictions to ensure we were comfortable and able to do the trip. He picked us up at our home which made our lives much easier than having to meet at a different point. We visited a castle, village and then spent most of our time meandering in the park. He was patient with me stopping all the time to take photos and helped my husband pick mushrooms. Lunch was great at a table outside the restaurant. And unlike some tours we have been on, he was a good driver so we didn't get nauseated on the ride. Would definitely recommend him and his tours to anyone and look forward to going somewhere else with him in the future.
