We loved the exhibits and how they were laid out.
It was really helpful having staff available to take photos and also to set up the best positions for the photos.

This (the Veletrzni Palac) is easily the most under-rated and from the (many) times I've been there over the last 20 years, the most under-visited major art museum in Europe, probably because of its location outside Prague Old Town. The collection, and semi-permant display, following a re-hang, is modern and predominantly (as you would expect) Czech. This three-floor exhibition has been re-arranged superbly and, unless you have been before, you should expect art from the last 150 years that you have not seen previously. To really see what is in this building you need around six hours - I did it in three wet afternoons at roughly two hours per floor. Or you could do a whole day including coffees, lunch and a well-deserved pre-dinner drink in the modern and super popular cafe. Go! A tram stops close by or the Vltava metro stop is only a few minutes walk. A tip on the cost, you can buy a combined year long friends ticket which gives unlimited access and is excellent value, particularly if you want to do this site and others over a few days. Remember too, the mediaeval branch in Josefov, the fine arts one near the Castle, the temporary exhibitionat the Kinsky on Old Town Square and so on, all of which are worth a look.

Visited here as part of our tour (self guided) of the Prague Castle complex. Unassuming facade outside, small but beautiful inside.

Part of the Czech national galleries - the Schwarzenberg Palace - or Schwarzenberský Palác - is to be found in close vicinity of the Prague Castle - it is a few 100 meters away from the "Gate of the Titans".
It is a beautiful building - owned by the Schwarzenberg family for several centuries - the building is a mixture of architectural styles but what is most impressive is the exterior decoration with the black graffiti ... so it is definitely worth stopping and taking a few pictures of the building itself - should you not have the time to go in an visit the museum that is housed inside.
Still - it is a great building to check out - even if you are not into architecture - and/or arts it is definitely worth a few minutes of any travelers time to take a few pictures.

In contrast to crowded Prague castle, the Sternberg Palace is an oasis of calm, as it doesn't feature on the tour guide circuit. In fact, you may have difficulty in finding it as it doesn't even feature on some tourist maps - yet it's just across the road from the Archbishop's Palace, with the entrance down an unlikely looking lane. Most of the art is fairly forgettable, but there are some gems - by Rembrandt, Durer and Dou. There's also a quirky little cafe that does light lunches. Altogether, it's well worth the effort to find the Palace.

    Very interesting place.
An artist's private exhibition space, decked out with hundreds of paintings as well as moody décor. Quite the quirky place.
It's a hike up a hill, but if you're already in the area, go for it. It's a very unusual and fascinating place.

The museum was ok. The Warhol exhibition was interesting, and big compared to the other two. The Mucha-exhibition one was quite similar to the Mucha-museum. The Dali one was quite small. But would recommend for Warhol, even just for Warhol.

The Lumia Museum is a fun mix of art and technology, full of interactive light displays and digital exhibits that everyone can enjoy. You can explore light tunnels, motion-activated projections, and more, making it an exciting and unique experience.

The museum is easy to navigate, and the staff is friendly and helpful. One of the best parts is the light show, which feels magical and creative.

It’s a great place to visit whether you’re alone, with family, or just looking for something different to do.

Lovely walk through some very beautiful baroque rooms. Very tranquil as off the bean track but well worth a visit.
There was an interesting 1st floor exhibition comparing Prague and Vienna.

Nice museum near the Jewish quarter to visit. It was relatively cool inside and had very few tourists, so a wonderful peaceful place to visit on a hot day. We were left with a real feel for Czech culture and history with the exhibits.

Banksy - honestly I hear this name for the first time on a TV show , from Rick Harrison (I guess is enough of a hint ... or maybe not , if interested you'll find it a few clicks on the web) ... and I got really interested.
Now when in Prague very close to the city center and the astronomical clock I found this museum and definitely had to enter.
Honestly it was a very nice experience - audio was nice - the graffities on display were also excellent - Banksy , whoever he/she is ,for sure is a very influential artist of our times and to enhance the mystery of his/hers works , till today it is puzzling that we don't know his/hers identity.
If you know his works you'll see a lot of rats in his works - it became a sort of a trademark for Banksy - but also he is targeting a lot of the stereotypes of todays society ... and he's doing it with sarcasm and using strong symbols.
So if you are in Prague , if you know the name Banksy , but especially if you don't I highly recommend you pay a visit to this museum, it is time and money well spent.

One of the six buildings in Prague that comprises the National Gallery Prague, the Trade Fair Palace (Veletržní palác) is a large building in the Praha 7 district with 5 floors of exhibitions. Take a tram from the city centre to get here (tram/road works meant a short walk from the stop at Strossmayerovo náměstí).

Three of these floors house the permanent exhibitions, accessible with a basic admission ticket (250 Kč) via lifts or stairs. All the exhibitions are excellent, beautifully presented with detailed information.

The "1956–1989: Architecture for All" exhibition is fascinating and a must-see for anyone interested in 20th century architecture, and the wider socio-political context in Czechoslovakia. The other side of the same floor exhibits modern artworks in all kinds of media and art disciplines, I could have spent hours here. There were probably less than 10 people on that floor on Sunday morning, highly recommended for art lovers looking for some peace and quiet.

The "1796–1918: Art of the Long Century" exhibition is stunning, with works selected from the entire NGP collection (no loans from other galleries filling any gaps) and arranged by subject matter, providing thought-provoking comparisons and contrasts over more than two centuries of Czech and international art. This floor was busier, and displays the 'big names' outside of the Czech art scene, but still not crowded by any means.

There is a café on site, light and airy with space to sit outside - I recommend the cinnamon roll with cream cheese glaze!

The building seamlessly blends modern and historical architecture, creating a perfect setting for its contemporary art exhibitions. The staff were knowledgeable and passionate, and the on-site café was a delightful bonus. For art lovers and cultural explorers alike, Kunsthalle Praha is a must-visit gem in Prague.

Prague overall was OK. A bit over-tourist I would say. The castles and Charles Brige were nice.

The sour taste in my mouth was the fine on their transit system. It felt almost like it was designed to trick the travelers, and if you got caught by the conductor and you got confused with tickets, you would get fined (which I did).

Probably will not go back again.
