If you visit, do take the included headphones and listen to the narrative. Most is done by the current generation of Lobkowicz family members and quite interesting. Frankly, I think this museum would be significantly less interesting without the narrative. They discuss the family and share some of their art collection. It is at the end of the castle area but it is not included on the castle ticket. It is worth the extra price.

Very impressive museum dedicated to the heroes of Second World War sacrificed their lives. They were sent back from England to assassinate Heydrich.
Very touching and sad history located in a local church were they fell.
    Worth a visit.
    Entrance is free

Great exhibition with lots of vintage vehicles. You can enjoy traveling back in time. I miss the Czech vehicles produced in the 1970s and the introduction of local manufacturers and factories.
In addition, old clocks, chemical, telephone, pencil and photography technology exhibitions can be viewed.
    Definitely worth a visit.

We went to the gallery on the North side of the river a bit out of the centre.

The gallery’s thematic structuring is some of the best I’ve seen, with really interesting parallels made between works in different styles and from different eras. There were works by all the great French impressionists, a surprising number of Picassos and many excellent Czech artists I had never come across. Good mix of paintings and sculptures.

Very quiet October when we went.

    We’ll worth the trip.

Nice experience! I was skeptical that would be one of those mystical tours but that wasn’t the case, the guide is a nice communicator and knows what she was talking about. The tour was very didactic and fun.

The most interesting attraction between our hotel and Old Town Square was the Powder Gate. It is one of the original 13 city gates in Old Town, Prague. Its construction began in 1475 but not actually completed until the late 1800s. The tower was intended to be an attractive entrance into the city, instead of a defensive tower.
The gate was used to store gunpowder in the 17th century, hence the name Powder Tower or Powder Gate. The gate suffered considerable damage during the Battle of Prague. The sculptures on the tower were replaced in 1876.

This is an excellent museum and gives an excellent detailed overview of communism in Czechoslovakia. It covers the rise of the communist workers party and its applicable history to Czechoslovakia .
There are many wall mounted written panels and to get the best out of the museum theses must be read so probably not a good option for younger children.
It costs 380 CZK for an entrance ticket.
The main floor has subject areas based on Communism -The Dream(The birth of Czechoslovakia, Munich Agreement, Victorious February.)
Reality (Nationalization, Communist Propaganda, The Socialist shop, The secret police.)
The Nightmare (Political trials ,Labor camps, August 1968-occupation, the velvet revolution). The information was well supported by artefacts from the period. Especially the reconstruction of an Interrrogation room
I visited just before Christmas and the Cafe was closed and the souvenir shop was very limited in the items it was selling.
All in all an excellent museum and a must see if in Prague.

The ceremonial hall of the Prague Jewish Funeral Society is now used as an exhibition for the Jewish Museum in Prague. The building is a fine example of the Romanesque style. In 1997, the State Hall was reconstructed. The exposition introduces us to the Jewish rituals performed on the dying and the dead. Here you can also find information about the Old Jewish Cemetery.

I’ll be honest, we had a few drinks before going here last night and it was hilarious. We also happened to have tiny plastic hands with us that were a random Christmas gag present. It made take photos a million times better.

This is a pretty Monestary up on the hill- the tour wasn’t great, not too much to see. The library is cool but you have to pay extra to get a private tour to enter otherwise you can only view from the door. The brewery was great though. Classic Czech food in a beer hall like room, great beer as well!

Old paintings from the Gothic period are exhibited here. The price of the exhibited materials is high, but individual visitors have different views of the paintings created in different historical periods.
