NaFilM: National film museum
#1 of 350 Museums in Prague
You will find out a lot about film prehistory, but in contrast to traditional museums, all exposed objects are replicas of real historical instruments, they were made just for this occasion.
Interesting exhibits and interactive installations really sets it apart from other similar museums.

We stumbled onto the Lego Museum by accident while we were in the toy store, and were delighted to find a showroom with over a dozen large-sized Lego exhibits, containing castles, cathedrals and full city blocks.
We are so happy that we got time to visit this incredible museum.

- This place is free (you can give donation) Go there, it's better than lot of other museums in the city
I would highly recommend a visit to the church and crypt its free of charge, but leave a donation, the time line in the museum is very informative, and a vist to the crypt is very moving.

Gallery of Steel Figures
#4 of 350 Museums in Prague
The ticket price is indeed a bit more expensive than other museums nearby but I think the sheer amount of work and skill in each sculpture justifies the price.
I’ve been to wax museums before and I’d have to say that I enjoyed this more.

Kbely Aviation Museum
#7 of 350 Museums in Prague
My pilot hubby loved this museum so much we went through twice but I also thoroughly enjoyed it & after visiting most of the Aviation museums around the world, this would have to be one of the best I've also been to.
The museum is located on an old airport with history that goes back to WWII and beyond, and the good thing is that you can go from city centre with metro (station Letnany with red line "C") and after that a 5-6 mi...

Everything has both Czech and English descriptions and unlike many other museums things aren't packed in too tightly meaning lots of good photo opportunities.

I like visiting unusual museums and this one is really unique!!
Hidden from the massively tourist Old Town streets but still in the center you find this lovely square and, there, this amazing store and museum with so much to show also in its "backstage" and hidden tunnels.
Convent of St Agnes of Bohemia
#11 of 350 Museums in Prague
This is one of the better art museums around, and gives a fascinating view about the ideas and culture in the Middle Ages.
Because this is part of the National Gallery, an admission ticket also allows you to visit the permanent exhibits at five other museums.

Ceske Muzeum Hudby
#12 of 350 Museums in Prague
As music is a defining feature of the Czech Republic, but especially Prague, (and as good music is becoming a lost art today), I highly recommend that people visit this museum to learn and expand their minds.
If you want to learn about how modern fairytale music and classical composition developed throughout Czech history, go to the Czech Music Museum.

Great museum a litte bit hidden in the end of Hrandczany area. it isin't big, it's enough about 30 minutes to see whole exhibition, but for sure it's worth to visit.
A short walk from Prague Castle, this tiny museum is a little hard to find (it s just through an alley) but is well worth it.

... and there are interesting stories and facts behind - some of them presented in a great app which you can only use on your smartphone (maybe one of Apple's products...?) when you are connected to the museums wifi.
What makes this museum work: smack bang in the heart of the location of one of the best kept historical cities, displaying pretty much every architectural and artistic achievement of mankind for the last 600-1000...

Karel Zeman Museum
#18 of 350 Museums in Prague
This is a great break from traditional art/history museums, which can begin to feel the same after a while.
Within the museum is a nice blend of information about Karel Zeman and how he created his special effects, as well as interactive exhibits that allow you to recreate some of those effects.
DOX Centre for Contemporary Art

If you love contemporary art, then this museums is definitely one of the must sees.

Cold War Museum
#23 of 350 Museums in Prague
One of the best museums/tours i'd visited in a long time!
The museum was part of a underground bombshelter for high ranking regime officials during the Cold War period, built under a hotel on Wenceslas Square (which was also built for use by regime and visiting VIPs).

1+ hour guided group tour by the museums curator/owner and what a character the guy is, he really makes the tour fun with his unique enthusiasm and many assassination demonstrations.
Having visited numerous museums already we were surprised to find this was an entertaining and highly informative experience.
Czech Beer Museum
#28 of 350 Museums in Prague
The museum is much smaller than the major museums in Prague and you can spend most your time here enjoying a substantial amount of beer taster in the bar in the basement.
We got a discounted rate of 200K for students, the museum was nice and fairly large, much better than some beer museums.

Schwarzenberg Palace
#29 of 350 Museums in Prague
The museum was almost deserted when I visited in May, despite the crowds of tourists outside, so it was very quiet and peaceful compared with, for example, the National Gallery in London!.
The museum inside is definitely worth visiting, so is the Cafe tucked away in the far corner of the courtyard.
