An old fashioned elevator. Completely open, no doors, no buttons to push.
Rides without stopping. Hop on, hop off . It takes coordination, good balance and guts :)

As kids, we thought it was great fun riding in them without supervision. Prague was very safe then, this was not ! Times sure have changed.
The fact, that operational Paternoster still can be found in the city is a wonder.

If you come across Paternoster in Prague , hop on, hop off , if you dare ....

We saw this building with our guide as we walked from the monastery to the castle. This is directly across from the Loreto, so you will more than likely see it. It is impressive in size and scale and it shines brightly in the morning sun.

First of all, here the Prague City Hall works, not in the New town hall, not in the Old city hall or other places. I Identified elements of Art-Nouveau in the two bas-reliefs on one side and on the other side of the main entrance which are the allegories - about work and reward. The whole building is decorated with statues and bas-reliefs so it is worth seeing. I also went inside, nobody banned me but I was probably lucky that it was during the working hours.

Visited on Thursday 12th October. What a majestic building which commands such an important place below Prague Castle and across the Vltava River from the Old Town. You also get to see it as you cruise along the river as well.

Just had to check out this building as we walked about Prague. Very colorful and very stately looking.

This is a hidden gem in plain view, located on the steep slope under the huge Prague Castle complex. A small entrance fee grants access to a number of terraces, some of which have benches for meditating or just taking a break from the madding crowd that is modern day Prague. The view from the top is wonderful, but this is not for people who have trouble with lots of steps.
