The dinner cruise itself was very good.
But getting to the boat was much more difficult than we had anticipated. There's no hotel pickup, unlike other options we might have booked. We had to walk to a ticket kiosk in Republic Square to get our tickets, then figure out how to get to the boat quite far away! That meant figuring out the Prague tram system, then crossing a long bridge on foot. Once on the other side, there were no signs, just over a dozen boats lined up below us on the river. Which one was ours???? Who the heck knows??!! Fortunately, we found another kiosk with a lady who could decipher the Czeck scribbles on our tickets; she was able to point us to "Pier 2-B" down the stairs to our ship. Without this angel, we would have missed our cruise!
These guys really need to provide more information up front for travelers like us.
I mentioned this to our Viking rep in our hotel; they were surprised that hotel pickup was not included. I never never would have booked this had I known how complicated it would have been!!
Back to the cruise itself. It began with a free glass of Prosecco. The boat has a glass top so you get nice views of the city. There was a buffet with two lines, one with charcuterie and other apps, and another with dinner. Ham, pasta, vegetables, scalloped potatoes, mashed potatoes, plenty of choices.
Drinks were extra. Around $10 for a glass of wine.
Bottom line: thumbs up for the cruise;but down for getting to it.
