- vanessatmooreBrisbane, Australia330 contributionsThis shop used to be called hamleys but is now called the playground. But it's still the same as hamleys inside. Brilliant place for small and big kids. Has a carousel. Laser games, game machines on the top floor. (Have to pay to play)
Great selection of toys for all. Be warned you will not want to leave. The showroom is like walking thru a museum viewing art. The staff was extremely helpful taking us through the steps to select exactly what we wanted. Wonderful service. Friendly, engaging. Encouraged me to sample chocolates, but didn't pressure me to make a purchase. You get to see how crystal glass items are manufactured and rendered various shapes. - Dickietoo6 contributionsRici Marionettes is an amazing place. The showroom is filled with handcrafted marionettes in various sizes and depicting various genres from modern to medieval times. The witches and wizards were the most interesting to me, and I did purchase a witch. In the shop you could see the process of making a marionette as they were being hand painted in the rear of the showroom. The clothing details are incredible and each hand painted face has its own personality. Public transportation is excellent and city is very walkable; lots of bars, coffee shops and restaurants. These candles light perfectly until the end and the scents are really delicate, they are a true example of perfume craft for me. Even the 180ml candle smells in a big room. The shop owner was knowledgeable and accommodating, and the selection of unique, high-quality gifts was exceptional. - petervdlinden2 contributionsWhat a very nice and helpfull staff! So kind, i needeed a lock for my bike and there was no lock in the store.
But Barbara was talking to the other staff were you could buy a lock. Barbara showed me the way to a Vietnamese shop nearby, and i found one, great.
I went back to the Thriftstore to show them i found one and to thank them again.
Thats what live is about, helping each other.
