Very happy to have taken kids here today … had a great time and took a photo of every statue.
Staff very friendly and just great that kids can touch and even pretend ride all the steel figures. They are so used to not being able to touch anything so they were delighted !

We went to the gallery on the North side of the river a bit out of the centre.

The gallery’s thematic structuring is some of the best I’ve seen, with really interesting parallels made between works in different styles and from different eras. There were works by all the great French impressionists, a surprising number of Picassos and many excellent Czech artists I had never come across. Good mix of paintings and sculptures.

Very quiet October when we went.

    We’ll worth the trip.

Opened only on Saturdays, this local market has a special vibe. Local producers and small businesses disply their fresh products: cheese, meat, pastries and sweets, coffee, sandwiches, bread, flowers and more. Perfect spot for a quite bite and coffee, around locals.

Really nice historical area. Loved the ceiling paintings. Exceptionally pleasent and informative staff.

Good idea for a walk on sunny autumn afternoon.

In contrast to crowded Prague castle, the Sternberg Palace is an oasis of calm, as it doesn't feature on the tour guide circuit. In fact, you may have difficulty in finding it as it doesn't even feature on some tourist maps - yet it's just across the road from the Archbishop's Palace, with the entrance down an unlikely looking lane. Most of the art is fairly forgettable, but there are some gems - by Rembrandt, Durer and Dou. There's also a quirky little cafe that does light lunches. Altogether, it's well worth the effort to find the Palace.

Its just a normal street market selling the usual fare, fruit and veg, mulled wine, tourist trinkets etc. If you are in the area, stop by and have a look. Its located in the old town and has a long history dating back into the early 1200's. Pretty impressive as we don't have that kind of history in Australia.

Some very strong and thought provoking Imagery. Dissipated that staff were unable to tell us much about the art work . Was a bit of a longer walk from the old town then we expected but was beautiful spring day so we enjoyed stretching our legs.

Unusual palace located in the Hradcany district of Prague. The current structure got its unique iconic sgraffito decoration in 1870–1874, based on the design of Josef Schulz. Since 1909, the building has housed various museums. The National Gallery Prague is the current owner.

Typical Westfield, though smaller than the London ones. The experience is quite similar though and it's the best place to do shopping in Prague. Parking is good.

Stayed here for a few nights whilst we attended a wedding. Good location but be prepared for walking or catching the tram to some of the big sights. Showers were warm and powerful. Bed OK, very firm but the pillows could do with being fluffier or have more options. As it was a top floor flat it was very warm and their air conditioning didn’t work in every room making some like green houses. Could do with more mirrors and plug sockets. Kitchen was OK and did have a dishwasher but could do with some more of the basics provided.

Good day to visit on weekends or holidays. Many designer brands available. Notable however is the non availability of those highly luxurious, such as Louis Vuitton or Prada among others. But you can get your shopping fill . There are just so many choices. Loved the proximity of each shops to each other. Many restaurants available among others. VIP get preferential priority as well . Restaurants are limited but there is a food court .

We first visited the Katie Feygie Art Gallery in September of 2022. We bought two pieces on site, with the larger one requiring shipping to the United States. Everything was handled professionally and promptly and our piece arrived well wrapped and in excellent condition. Working with Katie at the gallery was a joy.
More recently, we found a beautiful acrylic painting of an iris in one of Katie’s emails. I arranged the purchase with bank electronic transfer of funds. Because the piece was being exhibited in Florence and would not be available in my wife’s birthday, Katie created a beautiful card with an image of the painting and birthday wishes, ensuring that it arrived on the birthday. The painting followed three weeks later, again carefully wrapped and protected and in excellent condition.
Katie is knowledgeable, warm, and cares deeply about taking care of her clients. The art is excellent and the service is even better.

We were strolling through town on our way back to our apartment when we spotted the shop and even though it was already 9 pm we were welcomed to enter because the lovely owner was still busy inside. The sheer number of amazing items - jewellery, textiles, paintings and drawings, hats, collectibles - was overwhelming and we travelled back in time to the 19th century. I found a fantastic blouse with traditional stitching in mint condition and a Czech Plyšák, some sort of bed cover or wall hanging, a bit like a thin rug from 1900/1920 in beautiful colours. The owner was ever so friendly to explain the origins of the items and we will definitely come back on our next visit to Prague.
