Excelent atmosphere and symphatic and talented musicians. I was suprised how decent the service prices were. Highly recomended.

If you are looking for an ideal place for a drink and a hot set or two from good musicians this is a good choice. The atmosphere here is the quintessential basement jazz spot.
This place just oozes credibility musically.

Nice evening spent listening to a great quartet . Chairs were not the most comfortable I have sat in, but this is history and old fashioned culture. Well organised and safe.

We paid roughly £12 each for entry to the Ella Fitzgerald night, which felt like great value for money.
The music was good, and the drinks were cheap but decent quality.

The only downside is the absolutely bizarre seating - I have no idea why it’s been laid out in such a way. Look past that though, and you’ve got a fun evening of good music ahead of you.

Well worth a visit when you’re in Prague.

I've been visiting U Maleho Glena for many a year ,to me it's the best pub in the Lesser Town,a pub I always look forward to visiting on any trip to Prague I take.
I love the look of this pub ,it's quite a dark pub,the solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, nice decor and furnishings,a room downstairs for live music, mostly jazz and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub,it's a great place to unwind in.
My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a Saturday night, this pub was busy,a great atmosphere,we ordered beers from Pilsner Urquell Brewery ,these were served in pristine condition and with the distinctive foamy head so characteristic of the way Czech beer is poured and served,we just kicked back and took in the great pub we were in.
My beer was really good,a light, hoppy and unpretentious lager style beer, when served iced cold and sparkling as in this pub it's such a refreshing brew,no wonder this pub is so popular with beers served in tip top condition.
We really enjoyed our beers in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another beer each before we moved on.
U Maleho Glena is easy to locate along Karmeliska ,a street and area of outstandingly beautiful architecture and teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants.
    Opening hours are;
Monday to Sunday, open from 11am till very late.
Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

The setting of this club is very nice-- small and intimate and very pleasant. There is room for only a tiny band to support the piano, but when we went there was only a piano player who played excellent jazz. The one drawback is that there is very limited food menu, so you cannot have dinner there-- only drinks and snacks. Entrance was free when we went, but usually it is not-- check their web site.
If you are in the mood for an intimate evening with good jazz, that might be just what you were looking for. We'll be back.

Went to see Kiran Ahluwalia indian classical fusion with jazz - was great :)

Only thing is that there was a sign saying no smoking but someone was smoking and I asked a waitress to ask him to stop and she said he is the owner haha - coming from Scotland, it's illegal to smoke inside a public place so maybe just me being bias. Other than that a great evening :)

First, a group of locals were acting like they own the place, cutting the queue and being very rude. Then, they didn’t have clean wine glasses. Then, when I ordered two glasses all I got was the dregs of a bottle split in two. Then, I paid 120 CZK. Then she told me she charged the wrong price and insisted I pay another 120 CZK. What a blatant and brazen rip off. Do not give this business your money, you will be very sorry.
