- C F146 contributionsfrom the reviews it wasn't clear if this museum would be enjoyable for adults. we enjoyed every minute and we took our time reading all the explanations (in english) on the displays. some of the staff spoke english but not all. they explained about the exhibits. there are a few wooden dolls for sale.Written July 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Derrick LimSingapore, Singapore8 contributionsHistorical artefacts about the struggle coming from the Czech Resistance and how they overcome the odds to liberate the Plzen city with the assistance of the US Armor Forces. (the 16th Armored Division and elements of the 97th and 2nd Infantry Divisions liberated Pilsen)
Simple and yet fascinating appealing attraction if you are a WW2 Fan. Don't missed it. It is just located behind the mall - Plzen Plaza.Written December 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There is much to see for a one floor exhibit, although too much about old locks and keys perhaps. Along with Czech arts there are German Meissen and French Sevres porcelain pieces… and some ancient Greek, Italian, and Asian wares. I spent more time here than any other museum in Pilsen. Note that the Museum of West Bohemia is several distinct collections in the same location, of which Applied Arts and Crafts (umělecké řemeslo) is just one. It occupies the third floor of the building and the ticket was 80 Czech Koruna when I visited.Written October 22, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PavlaPavlaChrudim, Czech Republic7,689 contributionsThis nice museum is located in two Renaissance buildings in the Republic Square in the centre of town. Tour with a guide takes approximately one hour. You can see there a lot of interesting exhibits like old furniture, clothes or national costumes. We got many interesting information about how people lived in Pilsen region from our guide. Some of them were really new to me. Because they showed the exhibits on two floors, there were a lot of stairs during tour.
Takeing pictures without flash was alowed. Entrance fee was 60,-CZK per adult. The museum is worth visiting.Written November 20, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marie BPrague, Czech Republic467 contributionsThis time we visited two exhibitions: Nobility&Piety and Czech landscape painting. Quite well presented. In the Masne Kramy Gallery (part of Zapadoceska galerie) we always miss a cafe, and one of the disadvantages is also very difficult parking nearby. In another part of the Zapadoceska galerie, in the Museum, there is a pleasant small cafe (low prices).Written February 3, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - In Dognito2Barnsley, UK54 contributionsWas slightly sceptical upon booking, but loved every minute upon visiting. Venue is spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming, the whole experience calming, cleansing, invigorating. Perfectly private and unlimited beer on tap as well! We were let in 10 mins early too as nobody in there when we arrived. Highly recommend.Written October 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
