- paolovbossiThe Hague, The Netherlands847 contributionsIt is a jump back in the past. The village of Cesky is extremely small but very well preserved and so fascinating. The river cuts in two the village with the castle that dominates the village. There is nothing special but it is so amazing to walk in the small streets, looking at the coloured houses and to the boutiques of this place.
Unmissable in a trip to Czech.Written August 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Note that we couldn't visit any of the inside parts due to us being with our dog, but still, the whole castle impressed us. Especially the views over Cesky Krumlov are super nice when the weather is good (like we had).
Definitely recommended, especially considering that it is free to walk around all over the castle.Written January 4, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Even if they are not particularly big, they are really nice and well maintained. It is a nice place for a stroll or for relaxing out of the main crowd of Cesky Krumlov.Written August 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DuncanTCHEast Greenbush, NY1,495 contributionsThe latran houses along the banks of the river in Cesky Krumlov are definitely worth a visit. Once factories, mills and houses for upclass nobles, they’re now boutique shops, restaurants and hotels….but they still have kept their overall charm. The streets are cobbled, the river is rushing past and even the old water wheel is turning. Definitely a fun way to enjoy the afternoon after a visit to the castle.Written November 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ghanbgNuremberg, Germany668 contributionsAmazing views and what a gem of bridge building architecture! Best to be in town early in the season or late to avoid the masses. We came in May and could enjoy the bridge without being in a mad stampede.Written May 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chan K1 contributionWe booked an early depature from Cesky Krumlov to Hallstatt. Petr arrived early at 6:15 am with a 6:30 depature. We had a brief stop at Bad Ischl for 1 hour. Petr was very accomodating and took care of us well. He carried the heavy luggages and did his best to not let them to be damaged by the rocky ground. The views were splendid and he was very informative as well, giving us tips and interesting facts along the ride. He was always punctual, even earlier when waiting at Bad Ischl again. A very smooth and relaxing journey with reasonable pricing, highly recommend!Written January 14, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Anna PVienna, Austria2 contributionsJan had a very funny and informative way to show us the little city and old town of Czesky Krumlov.
We had a little group so it was also possible to ask individual questions. A lot of information about history was given. For me also some information about the czech republic in general would have been very interesting.
All in all we really enjoyed the tour.Written December 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our final destination was Vienna. Radek informed us there were 2 routes we could take; one on the highway and one through the country. We chose the country route. On the way, Radek offered to take us to the Rozmberk Castle. We arrived to witness the beginning of a wedding ceremony. Next we traveled to Linz where my wife and I spent 2 hours touring ending with enjoying Linzer Tarts. We then continued our journey to the border where we took photos straddling Czechia and Austria. Lastly, we continued our journey to Vienna. Radek was very punctual, professional, informative and reliable. Very pleasant experience!Written September 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
