What travelers are saying
- sarah h2 contributionsA very well curated art gallery. Staring at the top of the amazing building is the very informative Egon Schiele exhibition which is a gem. The Ivana Lomova exhibition is a must see and a fascinating insight into the ordinary made beautiful. In contrast is the energetic bright and challenging work of Janz Franz on the ground floor which again has been well curated. The staff were attentive, informative and friendly. Well worth the entrance fee.Written July 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- abetuPrague, Czech Republic54 contributionsYou have to visit this place when you have the chance. It’s lovely experience, you can walk through the whole house by yourself just with an audio guide. We paid a little extra money and enjoyed being actually photographed in the historic atelier and in the costumes. Definitely recommend that too. Big thank you to the people there, especially the young guy at the counter. He was really sweet and professional!Written July 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Olga18 contributionsWe just loved it: a unique story of the moldavite mineral told in a modern and enjoyable exposition. We learned a lot, relaxed gazing at the green magical stones and had a lot of fun with the simulator and the kids game.Written March 29, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ghanbgNuremberg, Germany658 contributionsMore a shop than officially a museum but the selection of old furniture and equipment from shops around 100-150 years ago was really quite interesting. Learned that in the old days you bought your kerosene for your lamps at the grocers…. Not something we had been aware of up to now.Written May 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rick JVictoria, TX142 contributionsLots of neat puppet stuff and many other things to look at. It’s in a house built in the 1300’s which that alone make it worth seeing. And you sure can’t beat the price. Huge wine collection.Written August 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Johnny TrekkieSan Diego, CA11,348 contributionsChances are your time is limited in the quaint and charming town of Cesky Krumlov, maybe as a day trip or just one night, and you just want to wander around, visit the castle, eat, and take lots of photos to make your friends and family jealous and envious.
If you're here for 2 nights like I was, this small Wax Museum provides a nice 30-60 minutes of entertainment value. Its also a good choice if its raining. There are some interesting reenactments of the old days of Cesky Krumlov and the Czech Republic, some political and historical figures whom I didn't know half of, and few obvious looking celebrities. Don't let the outside building deceive you, its much bigger inside than it looks. The museum was run by single bored looking young lady, but she was nice enough and I can't blame her for being so bored. 150CZK/$6.75 adult, or 100CZK/$4.50 for kids and students...seems about right.Written November 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FLnurseERBoca Raton, FL5,621 contributionsI came here with my 3 y/o granddaughter, who could not quite grasp the concept of 3D, but followed instructions about hand position and facial expressions and the final photos came out great. The place is small, we were glad to be the only visitors given the Covid 19 precautions. Some images on the wall had damage - paint peeling - and it showed on our photos.Written September 14, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tereza F2 contributionsThe Life exhibition was very interesting, you learn a lot of historical facts but in a fun way. They also offer tours of the historical brewery. After the tour we had a coffee at the brewery garden - you get a nice view of the castle in a relaxed setting. Great space to check out if you like history and/or beer!Written June 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
