Cesky Krumlov is a lovely town to visit however it situated about 3 hours drive from Prague so be prepared. Our tour was full - no spare seats in our minibus.Firstly the ticket kiosk not a pleasant experience- need to work on their people skills!! The guide - he didn't introduce himself probably do not want us to remember his name, he was a poor communicator and gave bare minimal commentary. Seemed more interested in how many he could book at his restaurant for lunch (lunch not included in tour) obviously some form of commission for him. The walking tour was just a quick walk with a couple of comments, very basis. So what you get is transportation, the castle tour (local castle guide) and free time in Cesky Krumlov. We did not see much of our Martins guide. The castle tour was very good and lovely local guide. We enjoyed visiting Cesky Krumlov, it is very picturesque.

Sarka from Personal Prague Guide was knowledgeable, entertaining and so considerate of our whole group from the US. We were a family of 6 traveling with our 88 year old mother and Sarka made sure the trip was tailored to our needs. We have Czech ancestors and she made it possible to go to the town were my husbands grandmother was born and we had a ceremony of gratitude for our ancestors. We loved the beautiful town of Cesky Krumlov but highly recommend using Personal Prague Guide for to experience this magical place!

After buying the ticket on the Internet site of an intermediary Company, Gray Line Tour Prague did not contact me to confirm the hotel pickup and waited for me to contact them the evening before the tour to inform me that the tour was going to be cancelled due to lack of the minimum number of participants
They forced me to wake up early on the day of the tour and forced me to call them again 30 minutes before the official start time of the tour just to get confirmation of the tour cancellation and only at this time they agreed to refund me the tour ticket, despite my request the day before. NEVER AGAIN

We stopped in Prague for four days before continuing onto Budapest for a river cruise. I worked with Lucy from Lucy Tours to secure three separate days of tours both inside and outside of Prague. She could not have been more helpful, friendly or professional. I’ve already left a review for our full day tour in Prague (which was amazing…check out my review) and the next day we had a full day Cesky Krumlov Private tour from prague.

Our driver/guide was Roman, who was stellar and exactly on time (even though we were slightly late given a failure in our alarm clock!). He couldn’t be more understanding! And it was brilliant, professional, fun, entertaining and a wonderfully safe driver.

Our tour was brilliant and the history that Roman provided was exceptional and really created a beautiful picture of the sights we were seeing.

When we go back to Prague, Lucy Tours will be the first person I call. Simply, there is no better tour company in the Czech Republic! Ask for Roman!!

Karolina, our tour guide was outstanding. While we visited on a Monday and the castle wasn’t open, the gardens and exterior buildings as well as the city made for a great day. Karolina made the difference, so knowledgeable - history, politics and families of the time. I’d strongly recommend to anyone looking to visit the city.

Michal Stanislav is fantastic. Very knowledgeable, friendly. He is able to show you niche spots along the way and in Cesky Krumkov. I would highly recommend this tour and any he has as he is excellent!

We went for a day trip to Cesky Krumlov, a medieval town a few hours outside prague. The castle and the views from various parts is truly breathtaking. There is lots of walking to be done ,both uphill and downhill. Many sure you wear good walking shoes.

Eszter was kind enough to add a time to accomodate an evening tour for us. We were able to see and hear about the history of the Castle before strolling through the streets and experiencing the charm and ambiance as the sun went down. We arrived at the perfect overlook just minutes before the exterior lighting on the Castle turned on for the evening. She gave us fantastic meal recommendations and a special gift to remember Chesky Krumlov. We enjoyed and recommend her tour.

Michal, our driver and guide made the trip more memorable. He was kind, courteous, and thoughtful. He contacted me as soon as I booked the trip and made sure the trip was as smooth as possible. As I was travelling with my aged father, he made it a point to include pillows to make the journey comfortable for my dad. Oh, did I mention we got to see Cesky Krumlov too? :)

Filip, our guide and driver was friendly and engaging, and held interesting conversation en route. The travel time was 4 hours and the actual walking tour was 3hrs, with approximately 30/40 min for lunch. Since there is so much to see and understand and appreciate, the walk was very rushed and we felt that we missed out on a lot of what the site has to offer.

Next time we will definitely spend the night and explore further over 2 days. A good way to get a brief idea of what this beautiful UNESCO site holds. A more detailed historical explanation of buildings, etc would also make the time spent more meaningful.

The speed that we travelled back to Prague was unpleasant and the back seats and door storage areas of the vehicle were not cleaned.

Lovely old architecture and quaint little lanes to explore. Brilliant views from the castle over the snow capped houses in the old town and river. Very easy to walk around on your own, everyone was friendly and helpful. It was a most enjoyable two day stay, would highly recommend a visit.

What a great day. A very clean and comfortable vehicle and experienced driver Pieter began our journey to Cesky Krumlov. An easy drive and beautiful countryside leads you to the amazing town of Cesky Krumlov. Unique and beautiful it takes you back in time. So well preserved. Our guide Richard took us everywhere and explained so much of the history and stories of this wonderful place.
Would highly recommend this day trip to any visitor to Prague.

Tour has started in our hotel. We were picked up at the lobby. Wonderful tourguide and driver Peter has picked us up. Then he drove us through Prague and through city and described monuments that we were passing.
On the way to Cesky Krumlov we have visited also city Czech Budejovice. It is unique square which has been a center of the souther Bohemia.
We were listening very interesting stories from our tourguide and been left for some time to see also this city. Later we arrived to Krumlov.
You just have to experience every single piece of it and walk through it. It was just great....!.

It was a very long day for us coming from Prague to Cesky Krumlov then to Salzburg and then back to Prague. However, Vadim of Thomas Travel made sure we were always comfortable during the tour. We saw the very beautiful Cesky Krumlov and spent enough time in Salzburg afterwards. Vadim never rushed us and made sure we got what we signed up and paid for. We highly recommend this tour if you are short on time while in Prague.
