The excellent adjacent Wallenstein Gardens are also free and feature such attractions as peacocks strolling along pathways with ponds, as well as statues of Greek gods.
The grounds are beautifully maintained and the peacocks, owls, fish and gardens are all spectacular.

Hluboka Castle is a stunning, incredibly beautiful, breathtaking chateau in south Bohemia, you definitely must visit if you are in Czech Republic and decide to leave Prague.
Castle exterior is stunning, but the interior is beyond speechless, the only negative about this visit is that you can´t take pictures inside, which means you have to visit it on your own to see it all.

The private tour provided intimate details of the lives of Arch Duke Ferdinand d'Este which are very intriguing when you consider his and wife Sofie's deaths created the lit-match that sparked WWI.
A picturesque drive to a quaint Castle surrounded by lush vegetation , a large lake , a meticulous rose garden , peacocks , deer and even a bear .

What a beautiful venue with stunning unending views from the castle ruins over the Czech countryside, even more magical in the night light.
English translation is a bit lacking in detail but there are more signs explaining each part of the castle - remember that not much is original because of the way it was left in ruins 200 years ago.

Its an unique example of Neo-Gothic castle /reconstructed in the beginning of the 19th century on the base of former fortress and of a little baroque castle by French aristocratic family Rohan/.
Sychrov is about an hour from Prague and so worth the trip!

One can visit a small archeological and historical exhibition at the entrance to the castle (70 CZK) and then explore the castle by oneself - information boards are in Czech, English and German.
Although it is a ruine, it is one of the largest medieval castles in CZ well preserved (as a ruine) and as such gives a good imagination of what that castle could have been

This grand Renaissance palace close to Prague castle has been beautifully restored and houses a wonderful collection of Baroque art, and 19th century works by Czech painters many of whom had worked in Vienna or Rome.
Schwarzenberg Palace is an absolutely stunning palace located up in the castle district and adds to the joy of visiting this great district of Prague.
