Very happy to have taken kids here today … had a great time and took a photo of every statue.
Staff very friendly and just great that kids can touch and even pretend ride all the steel figures. They are so used to not being able to touch anything so they were delighted !

We went to the gallery on the North side of the river a bit out of the centre.

The gallery’s thematic structuring is some of the best I’ve seen, with really interesting parallels made between works in different styles and from different eras. There were works by all the great French impressionists, a surprising number of Picassos and many excellent Czech artists I had never come across. Good mix of paintings and sculptures.

Very quiet October when we went.

    We’ll worth the trip.

Really nice historical area. Loved the ceiling paintings. Exceptionally pleasent and informative staff.

Good idea for a walk on sunny autumn afternoon.

In contrast to crowded Prague castle, the Sternberg Palace is an oasis of calm, as it doesn't feature on the tour guide circuit. In fact, you may have difficulty in finding it as it doesn't even feature on some tourist maps - yet it's just across the road from the Archbishop's Palace, with the entrance down an unlikely looking lane. Most of the art is fairly forgettable, but there are some gems - by Rembrandt, Durer and Dou. There's also a quirky little cafe that does light lunches. Altogether, it's well worth the effort to find the Palace.

Some very strong and thought provoking Imagery. Dissipated that staff were unable to tell us much about the art work . Was a bit of a longer walk from the old town then we expected but was beautiful spring day so we enjoyed stretching our legs.

Unusual palace located in the Hradcany district of Prague. The current structure got its unique iconic sgraffito decoration in 1870–1874, based on the design of Josef Schulz. Since 1909, the building has housed various museums. The National Gallery Prague is the current owner.

Stayed here for a few nights whilst we attended a wedding. Good location but be prepared for walking or catching the tram to some of the big sights. Showers were warm and powerful. Bed OK, very firm but the pillows could do with being fluffier or have more options. As it was a top floor flat it was very warm and their air conditioning didn’t work in every room making some like green houses. Could do with more mirrors and plug sockets. Kitchen was OK and did have a dishwasher but could do with some more of the basics provided.

We first visited the Katie Feygie Art Gallery in September of 2022. We bought two pieces on site, with the larger one requiring shipping to the United States. Everything was handled professionally and promptly and our piece arrived well wrapped and in excellent condition. Working with Katie at the gallery was a joy.
More recently, we found a beautiful acrylic painting of an iris in one of Katie’s emails. I arranged the purchase with bank electronic transfer of funds. Because the piece was being exhibited in Florence and would not be available in my wife’s birthday, Katie created a beautiful card with an image of the painting and birthday wishes, ensuring that it arrived on the birthday. The painting followed three weeks later, again carefully wrapped and protected and in excellent condition.
Katie is knowledgeable, warm, and cares deeply about taking care of her clients. The art is excellent and the service is even better.

After doing the castle tour, we decided we’d treat ourselves to coffee and cake, if we could find a place that wasn’t a bar selling coffee. We spotted the Bicycle Guard art installation and then looked at the decorated painted tables and thought, worthy of further investigation. We wandered in and were blown away by the quirky and tasteful art and just great authentic vibe. This was no chain!

The cake was delicious and coffee first rate. We bought a ceramic pot as well.

And finally it has to be said - everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly. Really you must visit when you’re in Loket.

This beautiful water tower is quite photogenic. It supplied water since the 15th century and is certainly worth a look when at the Dancing House.

Nice university hall for graduation ceremonies.
It could be improved by adding more presentation of the university history and accomplishment.

This was so beautiful- I can’t even imagine being able to live and work and create such sculptures in a home like this! It’s so special. He designed and made every door and piece of furniture and door handle and....everything! It’s so stunning!!! But very Very weird you can’t take photos!!! You can take photos in every museum on the planet. I thought maybe it was because they would then sell a book or postcard photos....nope. Limited not great postcards and no book in English and a pamphlet with black and white not great photos. If people could take photos they’d post about the place! That’s really weird! But just go and see it!
