There are destinations for ultra beginners via the canal and, for the more seasoned paddler, an Island, one of the “Mokes,” (Moku Nui) that has a quiet beach, hosts a bird sanctuary, and if you’re as lucky as we w...

This beach is truly amazing and offers some fantastic views of rock formations with a light house, some small islands off the coast and steep, lush mountains that run along the coastline.
The waves are 10-14 feet high for the surfer's delight and as you get closer to shore, the waves are fantastic for body surfing and boogie boarding.

I'm an avid hiker, and between the mud, the steep parts including serious rope climbs, and the heat/humidity, it took me about 50 minutes to cover the 1.15 miles to the first peak.
Couple of things to mention. 1. Parking is limited.
