spent time at several of the gorges, great fun for the family for a couple of hours, go early (before 10:30 to get a good parking spot) and take a picnic as food can be expensive at the cafes, highly recommended
We came here with two families of 8 people including 4 children ages 12, 9, 7 and 5 years.

The kids had great fun exploring the different areas, rock climbing and going on the natural water slides created by mini-falls.

Like in Palombaggia, water is knee and hip deep for a long strip from the coast, so great for children.
It would be good for kids too.

It takes about 15mins (casual walk) from the town centre and is unique: modern tombs for all family members, beautifully looked after.
Read up the history of the place to have more fun viewing it:) perfect with kids.

Cala di l'Achiarinu is more suitable for couples with children.
... it took two boats to collect everyone last call..but i really didn't see anyone much at all: a lot of kids and gorgeous hippy parents with babies strapped all over them...everyone smiling and seemingly at peac...

Plage du Petit Sperone Bonifacio

The water is shallow for a bit, and calm, so very suitable for children, thought they will have to do the walk (or be carried) to get there.
There were families of all ages.
Plage de Palombaggia Porto-Vecchio
#27 of 207 things to do in Corse-du-Sud
Wonderful beach with crystal clear waters, family friendly too as the water is still shallow really far out!
So we had the benefit of shade and great service - entertaining the kids and having a bit of grown-up time too.
Plage De Pinarello Sainte Lucie De Porto Vecchio

... time, but here's the exception, we've been there loads of times, both 2 years ago and on this trip ( I've done a separate review) For children there is very shallow water for 10/20 metres which warms quickly.
The children loved snorkeling near the rocks.

The water gets deep quite quickly so it is best for good swimmers (there are other beaches nearby where the water is shallower, and may be therefore better for small children).

great welcome from Chantal who is developping activities for kids and who is really interested on history and love to share a passion
Just bring walking shoes and water for the walk might take up a good two hours especially if you have small children with you.
Plage de Ruppione Pietrosella
#49 of 207 things to do in Corse-du-Sud
A little further along, a small stream to make dams with the kids if you brought any.
The sea is clear and calm and one can walk out for a while so suitable for young children and taking water bed .
Plage de Rondinara Bonifacio
