A wonderful gallery with an incredible selection of artwork! Seeing beautiful pictures is one thing, but hearing the stories that go with them made the experience even more special. Highly recommend stopping by if you appreciate both art and the narratives that give it depth

This is not a review of the ski resort, but of the nearby cross country ski trails. A particular trail that I recommend cuts in close behind the ski resort and is marked by a pole line that takes you on a circuit around rolling gentle terrain. You can either XC ski or snow shoe. Along the way you will get magnificent views of the Jagungal Wilderness including the mighty Mount Jagungal. If you're good at navigation you can veer off the pole line and head to the historic little 4 Mile Hut, which sits in an old gold-mining area.

Well worth a visit. You can drive up. We couldn’t see Kosciusko, but the views of surrounding lands are lovely.

The Raglan is a small, but vibrant, centre for the arts. There are exhibitions that change monthly. For August, the exhibition features women artists using a variety of media.

This walk is hidden away behind the showgrounds, a person at the Tourist Office told us about it but said it was overgrown.
We persevered with the walk up over rocks and through rutted paths, well worth the challenge to see the gorge below.
We felt disappointed that this local indigenous path and site seems to be ignored, as the area is overgrown with weeds in the creek and not much signage.

On the outskirts of Cooma, this is a 'must visit' location even if you are not a car afficionado.

Cars on display were in A! condition. They ranged in age from a 1927 Buick '6' to Holdens and Fords of the 1970s and 80s. Motor bikes, an Elfin Malmark Formula Vee racer and even an 'aquacar, an amphibious vehicle rounded out the large displays. There were also many models and other collectibles on show.

I loved the reconstructed Amercian diner circa 1950s. It has been recreated immaculately, right down to the price lists on display. Meatball and spaghetti - 20c! I'll have that :) There's even a pinball machine.
This is a great place to spend and enjoyable hour or so marvelling at the very collectible vehicles and other displays. Given this is all done by enthusiastic volunteers, it's amazing.

Having driven past this memorial many times, I decided to take a look. The display is recovered sections of the Southern Cloud that crashed in 1931 in the Snowy Mountains. The wreckage was discovered in 1958. There is an audio guide within the memorial which elaborates on the story and is worth listening to. It puts the story into perspective and is a reminder of the struggles with early aviation efforts.

I was looking for a walk (place to go for a run) near town that was designated as a Town Walk or boardwalk, etc. (sidewalk or dirt trails) for getting out and seeing the local neighbourhoods. Part of this walk is along a creek (Creek Road adjoins it), crosses over the creek on wooden bridges, and meanders into town. I only did a quarter of the walk and then ventured on my own for a nice run. If you are an avid walker or a runner, I suggest this as a good starting point.
